Baldox Dachshunds is a Small Hobby Show Breeder
We are only interested in the betterment of the breed
We are always actively involved in showing at AKC conformation events. Breeding for ourselves and fully understand the health issues within the breed and selecting the best based on correct conformation and temperaments. We spend a great deal of effort researching pedigrees and stud dogs to select the breeding most likely to yield the best possible puppies. The puppies are whelped and raised in our home and are socialized beginning at a very early age to optimize their temperaments for life in the real world.
Our goal is to breed the best Dachshund, because we plan to keep one of the puppies for ourselves as a show competitor. The facts of life, however, is that not all of the litter will be show quality. In fact, seldom is even half of a litter is show quality. Many breeders consider a litter with one or two potential champions as a successful breeding. The remainder of the litter are placed in pet or performance homes. If you are fortunate, you may get one of these puppies.

I raise my puppies using a modified "Puppy Culture" method includes the start of potty training, some obedience, and introduction to daily inside & outside household noises.
When they go home to their new family they will have their age appropriate shots, de-wormed, 1 yr health guarantee. Pet Puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract. Parents are registered through AKC and have Champion Bloodlines in the pedigree.
All our pups are raised in our home under foot, where they can hear the daily duties of our everyday lives. They are born in our whelping box in my home. They start to learn to potty in a box outside of their sleeping area and know how to eat and drink from a bowl. They begin their transformation before they go to their new forever homes. As they age they are introduced to toys and other age related items. I also have them follow me around and hold, kiss and love on them to start the bonding process.
