About Ella
Hi there! I’ve been raising red and blue Heelers (Australian Cattle Dogs) for the past 8 years — not as a large-scale breeder, but as someone who truly loves and respects the breed. We’re a small, responsible operation, and may have one litter a year. Since we’re not set up for winter litters, we plan carefully to ensure the best conditions for both mom and pups.
Our dogs are family-raised on our working horse farm, and I take the time to vet potential buyers to ensure they’re a good match for this energetic and intelligent breed. Heelers are incredibly loyal and driven — they thrive in homes where their instincts are understood and appreciated. I believe dogs like these deserve families that are ready to give them the fulfilling life they were bred for.
All puppies go to their forever homes at 8 weeks old, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and with a completed vet exam. All puppies come with a health booklet listing when they've been dewormed and vaccinated. Each pup also goes home with a quart-sized bag of their current food to help ease the transition into their new home.
Pickup, Delivery & Shipping Policy
We welcome local pickup at our farm near Walnut, Iowa. For families located farther away, we’re happy to meet partway or deliver within 120 miles at no additional cost. If you're beyond that range, we're still open to coordinating — we’ll ask for a reasonable gas reimbursement, agreed upon ahead of time.
We accept a $100 deposit to hold a puppy, which is applied toward the final purchase price.
We're also open to ground transportation through services like CitizenShipper or USDA-certified transporters — the buyer is responsible for arranging and covering all costs.
Air travel is available, whether through a flight nanny or cargo, as long as the buyer arranges and pays for all travel and vet costs. If I’m serving as the flight nanny, I will coordinate the flight, but expect all associated costs to be covered, including the required vet exam. Closest airports are OMA (Omaha) and DSM (Des Moines).
We do our best to work with each family to ensure a smooth, safe transition for every pup. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions!
