We live on a century old dairy farm in Sweetwater, Tennessee. Greg is a dairy farmer and I am a high school teacher. Katie (9) and Lily (11) are elementary school students and we love our pets BIG!
Our dog journey began a few years ago when our daughters begged for a puppy. As soon as we decided to gift our daughters a dog, we began searching for the most compatible pet for our home. Once we discovered the Goldendoodle breed, there was no looking back. Our youngest daughter, Katie, has eczema and allergies and once we learned that most Goldendoodles are hypoallergenic and shed none to very little, we were sold.
The designer dog breed benefits from the hybrid vigor of having two amazing ancestor dogs: the Golden Retriever and the Poodle.
We picked up our puppy on December 23rd and could barely contain our excitement for Christmas morning. Our girls had the best Christmas to date. They were thrilled to open a hurriedly wrapped Christmas box that contained the cutest Goldendoodle puppy inside.
We have raised Daisy since she was six weeks old. We later added a playmate, Griff the poodle, for Daisy. Lily, our 11 year old daughter, became fast best friends with Griff. Griff sleeps best in Lily's bed and they are attached at the hip. It is the sweetest thing!
Our dogs have brought so much joy into our days and have truly enhanced our lives. With a commitment to ethically breed for quality genetics, we hope other families can benefit from this loving and fun dog breed like our family has.
