About Pamela
Responsible Pet Rehoming Statement I am a professional pet sitter and foster who has always had a deep commitment to animal welfare. Over time, I have rescued, fostered, and ultimately adopted many animals myself. While I love every one of them, the number of animals in my care has grown beyond what I believe is ideal for their individual quality of life. This is not a decision based on behavioral problems. My animals are sweet, well cared for, and accustomed to living in a home environment. I am looking to responsibly rehome some of them because I want each animal to receive the individual attention, companionship, exercise, and care they deserve. My priority is quality of life—not simply finding a new owner. What I Expect From an Adopter I am looking for responsible people who understand that adopting an animal is a long-term commitment. The new home must agree to: * Provide plenty of quality time, affection, exercise, and companionship. * Never leave the animal confined to a crate or cage for extended periods during the day. * Provide appropriate shelter and protection from excessive heat, direct sun, cold, and other dangerous weather conditions. * Continue providing a nutritious, balanced diet. Where appropriate for the individual animal, I would like the adopter to continue the natural foods they are accustomed to alongside complete commercial food rather than relying exclusively on dry food. * Provide routine veterinary care and seek medical attention whenever necessary. * Treat the animal as a member of the family, not as an outdoor decoration or permanent kennel animal. * Understand that an active breed may need substantially more exercise and stimulation than a sedentary dog. * Never surrender the animal to a shelter. If circumstances ever change and the adopter can no longer keep the animal, they must contact me first so we can work together to find a safe alternative. Spaying Is a Condition of Adoption I will only rehome an animal if the adopter agrees to have her spayed as the first priority. This agreement is intended to prevent unwanted litters and ensure responsible ownership. I am not interested in placing my animals with someone who is simply looking for a free pet. I am looking for people who understand the responsibility involved and are prepared to make a genuine, long-term commitment. My Goal My goal is simple: fewer animals in my household, but a better quality of life for the animals I continue to care for—and a carefully selected, loving home for those I rehome. I will take the time to ask questions about the prospective home, lifestyle, schedule, yard, other animals, and experience with pets. Rehoming may be declined if I do not believe the situation is appropriate. These animals have been loved and cared for. I want their next home to be a permanent home, not simply their next stop.
About Pamela G.
About My Home & How My Animals Are Raised I live in a large, clean five-room home with a spacious yard, providing my animals with a comfortable and safe environment where they can move around, play, and spend quality time outside. As a professional pet sitter and foster, I am very particular about cleanliness, safety, and the daily care of the animals in my home. They are raised in a home environment, not kept isolated or treated as kennel animals. My animals have access to a comfortable indoor environment, a large yard for supervised outdoor time, and plenty of opportunities for interaction and companionship. I also pay close attention to weather conditions and do not expect animals to remain outside in extreme heat, direct sun, or unsafe weather. Because I have cared for many animals over the years, I understand that every dog and cat has individual needs. They need attention, exercise, enrichment, affection, proper nutrition, veterinary care, and time with their people. This is exactly why I am being very selective about rehoming. I want each animal who leaves my home to go somewhere that can provide a similar standard of care and commitment. My goal is not simply to find someone who wants a pet. My goal is to find someone who is prepared to give that animal a safe, loving, stable, and permanent home.
