Pixie’s Magical Puppies

I have two big pens for sleeping purposes only. They’re about 5‘ x 5‘. They only go in there at night time, it’s enough room to play and more than enough room to sleep. Currently, I have two mamas, and they have a double sided whelping box. One side for them and the other for the babies. When the babies get older, they will also have a play area as well. For Chihuahuas, you don’t need a super large one, but I like to get the bigger size just to give my mom a more room for herself. I adjust the box as the puppies age. So at first when they’re very tiny they’re in a mini box inside of the whelping box. When they’re old enough to start moving around, I remove that and they can stay in the one side of the double-sided box. My non-pregnant dogs and studs have their sleeping quarters. Right now I have three in one and three in the other and three in my bed. I will switch out who sleeps with me so they all get their fair share of cuddles. We like to go hiking and running regularly. I believe that my dogs deserve a big life! They’ve been on road trips and visited at least six different states. They are more than dogs, they are my family.
