Hi, I’m Nate, a Chihuahua enthusiast actively involved in the breed through conformation and leadership within the community. I’m committed to producing dogs that are true to the standard in structure, temperament, and overall quality, while thoughtfully working with color. I have produced the first Long Coat Merle Chihuahua in 17 years to achieve a Top 20 ranking, placing #13 in 2025, and I dedicate a significant amount of time to supporting the breed beyond my own program.
About Sparking Phoenix Chihuahuas
Sparking Phoenix Chihuahuas is a small breeding and show program in Minnesota. I’m involved with the Chihuahua Club of America and the Chihuahua Club of Greater Minneapolis, and I really enjoy being part of the breed beyond just showing and breeding my own dogs.
My program is focused on healthy, sound Chihuahuas with great breed type, temperament, and beautiful coats. I especially enjoy the wide variety of colors and patterns found in Chihuahuas, including merle, brindle, chocolate, and other colorful coats.
I’m proud of the dogs I’ve bred and shown, but I’m always learning and looking toward the next generation. My goal is pretty simple: breed Chihuahuas I’m proud to put my name on, whether they end up in the show ring or on someone’s couch.
