I am just a mom, wife, nurse, & animal lover. We have several female and male shih tzu ‘s ‘they are our pets, they live in our home with us. Our shih tzu are AKC pedigree purebred. We are hobby breeders, we usually have 1or 2 liters a year. All our puppies are well socialized, loving, curious, & are played with daily after 4 wks, they are never kenneled. We have children & grandchildren who play with all of our puppies. They have very laid back chill personalities and absolutely love belly rubs & snuggles. Our Shih Tzus generally stand around six inches tall and weigh under seven pounds. In other words, they stand about three inches shorter than the standard breed that stands approximately 10 inches tall and weighs between nine to 16 pounds.regardless of whether they fall into the standard size category or the teacup classification, Shih Tzus welcome the attention of any human.
For the most part, they won’t give two hoots about that person’s age or size. Originally bred as companion dogs to the Chinese Emperors, these fluffy dogs are friendly, cheerful, and outgoing, making them ideal for children.
