Welcome to Yellowstone Hills Minis, a small, family-oriented Miniature Australian Shepherd breeding program located in Louisiana. Our love for animals started long before our breeding program. Growing up around horses and spending years showing and working with animals taught us the importance of sound structure, good health, temperament, and responsible breeding.
At Yellowstone Hills Minis, our dogs are part of our family. We strive to raise well-rounded, confident puppies that can transition beautifully into their new homes. Our puppies are raised with hands-on care, socialization, age-appropriate enrichment, and plenty of love from the very beginning.
We carefully select our breeding dogs with an emphasis on health, structure, temperament, and breed quality. Our adults undergo genetic health testing, including testing for important conditions such as DM and NAD with full panels, and we incorporate OFA evaluations into our program as our dogs reach the appropriate ages.
Our goal isn’t simply to produce beautiful Mini Aussies. We want to produce healthy, sound companions with wonderful personalities that families can enjoy for years to come. Whether a puppy is destined to be an active adventure partner, a beloved family companion, or has potential for show or performance, we work hard to give each puppy the best possible start.
We also believe choosing a breeder should feel personal. We value honesty and transparency with our puppy families and enjoy getting to know each family so we can help match them with a puppy that fits their lifestyle.
