The Russo-European Laika is a very active and territorial hunting dog, that loves nothing more than to be outside on the hunting trail. They are medium-sized and recognized for their fluffy coats. These dogs love their families and enjoy their role of protector and guardian.

The Russo-European Laika isn't a lap dog, but they will make the perfect outdoor companion. They are happiest when they've had a few hours of outdoor daily exercise. The Russo-European Laika will become accustomed to humans with proper training. Coat

The Russo-European Laika has a harsh and straight coat, dense undercoat, and long top coat that protects them from harsh Russian winters. They range in color from entirely black to entirely white, with gray, ticking, and red or brown brindle coloring occasionally. They require minimal grooming and only occasional brushing, since their rough coats self-clean very quickly.
