This sweet Mini Dachshund baby is looking for the perfect loving pet home! The baby has a gentle, affectionate personality and loves attention, cuddles, and being close to people. Like most Dachshund puppies, the baby is playful, curious, smart, and full of little bursts of energy, but also enjoys curling up for naps and snuggles. The baby is being raised around family and handled daily to help encourage a loving and social temperament.
Mom weighs 8 pounds and Dad weighs 6 pounds. Dad is an AKC registered red Miniature Dachshund, and Mom is an AKC registered white speckled Dachshund. Puppies WILL NOT come with papers and are being sold strictly as pets only β no exceptions. We are looking for loving families and pet homes only, not breeding homes.
The baby will be up to date on vaccines and deworming before going home. A puppy packet will be provided with vaccination and deworming records for your vet. The baby will also be started on Purina One Healthy Puppy food to help make the transition easier.
Serious inquiries only please. We want the very best forever home for this precious baby!

What should I know about Dachshunds before buying one?
A Dachshund may be short, but theyβre long in body and personality. These dogs are stubborn and can be aggressive, but are extremely loyal, loving, and protective of their families. It takes patience to raise a Dachshund, but there are many rewards. Full-grown, they typically weigh 16-32 pounds and stand 8-9 inches tall.
Are Dachshunds friendly with strangers and kids?
Dachshunds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Dachshunds fit best in homes where they can live indoors with their pet parents. Families with smaller children may want to choose a different breed, as Dachshunds can be a little too feisty and aggressive toward kids, especially if they donβt understand how to treat a dog with respect. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
How do I keep a Dachshund physically active?
Dachshunds need exercise a few times a day. Theyβll enjoy a brisk walk, and their little legs can actually carry them for quite a distance if youβve got time for a longer stroll. In general, plan on allotting about 30 minutes of exercise per day. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
Do Dachshunds shed a lot?
Dachshunds actually come in three different coat types, wire-haired, long-haired, and smooth. For smooth-haired and long-haired Dachshunds, a weekly brushing will help clean their hair and cut back on shedding. For wire-haired Dachshunds, youβll need to pluck or strip their hair about twice a year and trim their excess hair around their eyebrows and paws. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Do Dachshunds need a house with a yard?
Dachshunds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Dachshunds fit best in homes where they can live indoors with their pet parents. They will act out and dig even more if left to their own devices full-time in your backyard. They are fairly easy to train.
Puppy Buyer's FAQ
See Full Guide Here
Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
