Meet Chloe! This sweet girl is spunky, loving and very photogenic, likes her picture to be taken. She gives plenty of kisses, loves treats, her squeaky toys, and being carried around. If not guaranteed she’s following you. Evident by her green eyes and brown nose, Chloe is a Chocolate Havapoo and the smallest of the litter weighing 2.11 pounds. She sleeps in a crate at night with her siblings. She is currently potting outside or on the fake grass she was trained to potty on. Chloe’s mother is Willow, a 3 year old Chocolate Merle Havapoo weighing 13 pounds. Both of her parents are AKC registered and owned by me. Chloe’s father, Mingo is a 12 pounds AKC registered Havanese also owned by me. Chloe is completely non-shedding and hypoallergenic. Chloe has had her 1st round of shots and current on her dewormings. I have been breeding since 2010 with many references, including a professional football player, famous singer and had one of my puppies featured on a vet’s marquee. The Havapoo, or Poovanese is a “designer breed” made up of the Poodle and the Havanese, created in the United States that has gained popularity in the last decade. The Poovanese is not a pure breed and is not recognized by the American Kennel Club, however, it is expected to be bred from a pure bred Poodle and a pure bred Havanese. The Poovanese is, however, recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club, Designer Dogs Kennel Club, International Designer Canine Registry and Designer Breed Registry. Due to the fact that the Poovanese is a mixed breed, there is no specific breed history explaining the origin or purpose of the breed's creation. Full-grown, they typically weigh 7-30 pounds and stand 8-15 inches tall.
Are Havapoos a good choice for families with kids?
Havapoos are generally good with kids, especially when raised together. A mixed breed dog can have a combination of any of the temperament and characteristics of any breed involved. They're relatively quiet and don't bark much.
