Darby a sweet looking black tri-s. He has brownish face with brown floppy ears He has a white feather running up his forehead. He is lovable and very active. He has been vet checked, tail bobbed to breed standard and dewclaws removed. Mom has won AKC agility ribbons. Mom has a fluffy coat of various brown and copper tones with a wide white collar and paws. Dad is a lovable black tri with prominent brown eyebrows. The parents weigh 45-55 pounds. They alert us before strangers are even out of their car and their bark is deep enough to send the right message.
The natural herding instinct of these pure bred dog was evident when our friend brought over her dachshunds. When the dogs got too far our dog would herd them back. While she was enjoying her book and her dogs wandered too far, she would call out “Snickers bring them back”. Our dog would herd them back. He did this without being trained. Examples like this is why some people prefer purebred pets. When strangers come by our Aussie will sit in front of Jackie and give out a protective deep growl.
