πΎ Meet David
David is an absolute showstopper with one of the most unique, highly sought-after coats in the litter. He features a striking black-and-white "parti" or cow-pattern coat, beautifully broken up with bold patches of rich black over a crisp white base. Carrying a strong Maltese influence from his father, his premium hair-coat is incredibly thick, plush, and silky. At 3 weeks old, David is already showing a confident, playful, and remarkably curious personality, making him stand out as a joyful little character who loves to explore.
π The Premium Breed Advantage: Nature + Nurture
This is the 6th litter I have helped raise, and our program focuses strictly on producing premier, predictable, and flawless family companions.
Predictable Toy Size: With an 8 lb purebred Maltese father and an 11β12 lb mother, David is genetically tracking to land right in the sweet spot of 8β10 lbs adult weight. He is the ultimate "portable" size for active lifestyles and luxury apartment living.
Elite Maltese Hair-Coat: Inheriting a premium, single-layer coat, he is virtually non-shedding. Because his coat behaves like human hair rather than animal fur, he is a top-tier hypoallergenic choice perfect for pristine homes.
Stable, Confident Personality: Many toy dogs have a reputation for being anxious or reactive, but our puppies are different. Because they receive intensive, round-the-clock care and structured early stimulation, they grow into calm, highly adaptable, and joyful companions.
β¨ The Value of Our In-Home Care
We do not mass-produce puppies. We invest immense time, resources, and love into our babies to ensure you receive a stellar, well-adjusted family member who has been given the absolute best start in life.
Advanced In-Home Socialization: Raised 100% indoors, held every single day, and entirely desensitized to everyday household sounds (both loud and soft). David is socialized daily with adults, children, and our resident cat.
Early Pad Training Foundation: While we cannot 100% guarantee perfect house training by 8 weeks, his foundation is already well underway and he is progressing beautifully. Pups from our previous litter left completely pad-trained because of our rigorous early routines.
Proven "Proof of Concept" Track Record: This is his mother Fiona's second litter (her first was 4 years ago). Our past puppies have grown into spectacular adult dogsβincluding an experienced traveler who flies on airplanes to vacations in Nashville, and another who lives with a German Shepherd and successfully took on a gentle caregiver role for a newly hatched baby chick! References from past buyers are gladly provided upon request.
𧬠Meet the Parents
Both parents are beloved family members with stellar temperaments:
Mom (Fiona): Our 11β12 lb Malshi. She is a sweet, social girl who loves boating on the lake, joining me for lunch, and riding along on bicycle rides.
Dad (Milo): An 8 lb purebred white Maltese. He is a gentle, active boy who loves hiking, shopping trips, and family outings.
(Both parents are pictured in our listing so you can see the exceptional lines your puppy comes from!)

About
Maltese
Puppies
How would you describe a Maltese?
The Maltese, with their long hair and dark round eyes, have a unique appearance. A sociable breed they often befriend other pets and will warm up to strangers given enough time and interaction Full-grown, they typically weigh 4-7 pounds and stand 7-9 inches tall.
Will a Maltese get along with my other pets?
Malteses are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Maltese, with their loving personalities and playful attitudes, are great around older children. They are definitely companion dogs who also get along well with other pets. They're moderate barkers β they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Can Malteses keep up with an active lifestyle?
The Maltese does not require an abundance of activity , but they do love to play chase and enjoy occasional walks. So strap up your tennis shoes and provide plenty of catch-toys for this toy breed! Overall, their exercise needs are low.
How much grooming does a Maltese need?
Maltese have a distinctive long, white, silky coat with no undercoat. Some may have cream or lemon-colored ears. They do require daily brushing to remove dead hair and require periodic dental care since they do sometimes have problems with their teeth. Grooming-wise, this breed is fairly high-maintenance. Malteses are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Can a Maltese live in an apartment?
Malteses are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. This breed can adapt to a rural lifestyle but does best as an indoor dog. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.
Frequently Asked Questions
About
Mal Shi
Puppies
What makes Mal Shis special?
The Mal-Shi is a cross between a Maltese and a Shih Tzu. This hybrid originated in the United States. It is also known by Shih-tese, Shihtese and Malti Tzu. The Maltese is a small, fearless and very playful dog with a long, white silky coat that is hypoallergenic (very low shed cycle). Maltese do very well with other animals, but are often leery of strangers. The Shih Tzu is a medium sized and more sturdy breed with a double coat that is very people focused and literally thrives on attention and affection. The combination of these two breeds produce a cute, sturdy, intelligent, family focused dog with a slow shed cycle. Full-grown, they typically weigh 6-12 pounds and stand 10-10 inches tall.
Are Mal Shis safe around children?
Mal Shis are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. They do well with older children, nearly all animals, and with those of whom they are accustomed. They're not overly vocal and often fearful of strangers, making them a poor candidate for watchdog. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.
How do I keep a Mal Shi physically active?
Mal-Shi are house pets in need of protection from extreme temperatures and they require plenty of exercise and playtime. A brisk twenty minute daily walk may do the trick, but don't neglect to fulfill their never ending desire to run, chew and play. A bored lazy Mal-Shi is likely to become depressed, destructive, disobedient or even worse, missing. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
Is a Mal Shi a good choice for someone with allergies?
The MalShih coat typically resembles that of a standard Shih Tzu with less, or no, undercoat. Like the standard Shih Tzu, the Mal-Shi does not shed as like most breeds do, but rather lose hair slowly like people. Most owners keep their Mal-Shi in a puppy cut (coat trimmed short) and others groom them daily using the traditional top knot and center part. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance. Mal Shis are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
What should first-time owners know about Mal Shis?
Mal Shis are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are fairly easy to train.
