About Fidough
All listing information is self-reported. Verify information before conducting business. Learn more here
Fidough is being listed as a cream long hair, possible dapple. (This litter is pokemon themed with their names). Cream and red can hide dapple, so you would have to get her tested to know for sure (I can recommend where to go, cheapest test is $30). The only way to know without genetic testing would be when she opens her eyes and if she happens to have any blue flecks in them. However, if she does not, that doesn't necessarily mean she's not a dapple. She could still be, but it could mean that the merle gene is just not affecting the eye pigment. (I have 2 merle dogs who have black eyes, different breeds, but it's possible not to have the eyes affected is what I'm saying). If you have any questions please ask, I'm more than happy to explain anything.
Puppies will be vet checked, dewormed multiple times & will receive all age appropriate puppy vaccines before they leave. Both parents have been health tested and puppies will come with a 1yr written health guarantee. They will also come with a puppy take home pack. If you are interested in more than 1 puppy, I can give a small discount.
Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. I do not deliver, but I will meet you somewhere public in the direction you're coming from and take some time off your drive. I do sometimes travel within the state & might be able to bring the puppy with me so it's close for you. Message to discuss.
No shipping! No 3rd party sales! You must pick up your puppy in person! No exceptions! I like to meet my perspective puppy parents in person, answer any questions you may have, it keeps things more personal and you will also need to sign the puppy contract & health guarantee.
If the puppy is being sold for $1000 & up, I ask for a $300 deposit. If they're being sold for under $1000 then I ask for $200. The rest is due in cash in full at time of pick up. As with most breeders, my deposits are non-refundable. Please make sure you are ready to commit before sending deposit money. Absolutely no holds without a full deposit.
Thank you so very much for browsing! I'm happy my puppy caught your eye! Please let me know if you have any questions. 😊

Frequently Asked Questions
About Miniature Dachshund Puppies
About Miniature Dachshund Puppies
Is a Miniature Dachshund the right dog for me?
The Dachshund (pronounced dak-sund; also known as a ‘Teckel’) originated in Germany in the sixteenth century. They were bred and trained to chase down prey, such as a badger (Dachshund means ‘Badger Dog’) or fox, enter its burrow, kill it, and retrieve it. Full-grown, they typically weigh 9-11 pounds and stand 5-6 inches tall.
How do Miniature Dachshunds behave around young children?
Miniature Dachshunds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Miniature Dachshund is somewhat reserved around strangers and may bark at them, but forms a strong bond with family. It can be too courageous around larger dogs. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
What activities do Miniature Dachshunds enjoy most?
The Miniature Dachshund needs a small amount of exercise; medium length walks or a fair amount of play in the yard should be sufficient. Miniature Dachshunds may tire easily so exercise should be spaced out throughout the day. Miniature Dachshunds can live comfortably in an apartment, but it is best if they get an occasional view of the wild. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
What should I expect with Miniature Dachshund shedding?
The smooth- and long-haired Miniature Dachshund should be brushed occasionally to remove dead hairs. Long-haired Miniature Dachshunds are prone to tangles, so they should be groomed more often. The coat of the wire-haired Miniature Dachshund should be plucked twice a year. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Can a Miniature Dachshund live in an apartment?
Miniature Dachshunds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are fairly easy to train.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
