Cairn Terrier Poo mix is a crossbreed between a Cairn Terrier and a Bichon/Poodle OR a Cairn Poo breed with a Cairn Terrier OR a Cairn Poo breed with a Bichon/Poodle. It can weigh 13 to 20 pounds and stand between 10 and 15 inches. This dog breed is extremely intelligent and hypoallergenic. Its unique characteristics also make it the perfect pet for small families and apartment dwellers. If you want a playful dog for your home, consider a Cairn Poo. While the Bichon/Poodle is known for its wavy coat, a Cairn has a silky undercoat. The two breeds have similar temperaments and tendencies, so you might end up with a pup that doesn’t need as much exercise. It is an excellent companion for older people and is a great family pet for people who live alone. The Cairn Terrier’s coat type is also suitable for apartments. Their life expectancy is about 12-15 years. These puppies have been vet checked and come with a one-year congenital health guarantee. They are current on their puppy vaccinations and have also been de-wormed. Please call me @ 507-461-3327 if you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment to meet our amazing puppies! Frequently Asked Questions
About Cairn Terrier Puppies

What kind of dog is a Cairn Terrier?
Cairn Terriers’ personalities are ten times bigger than their ten-pound bodies. These pups are adoring and loyal, but they also get stubborn and aggressive if they don’t have a leader. Cairns need attention and exercise to stay healthy and happy, and if you aren’t doing what they want, they won’t be afraid to speak up. Full-grown, they typically weigh 13-14 pounds and stand 9-10 inches tall.
How do Cairn Terriers behave around young children?
Cairn Terriers are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Cairn Terriers are loyal dogs that are great with families and are happy inside or outside. They love playing with kids but are sensitive to roughhousing, so keep an eye on them around small children. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.
Do Cairn Terriers need a lot of physical activity?
Cairn Terriers have an insatiable appetite for activity. They need walks or runs every day and lots of playtime to keep them calm. These dogs play rough though, so keep an eye on them around other dogs and kids. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
How often should I brush a Cairn Terrier?
Cairn Terriers have a weatherproof coat with two layers. Their undercoats are soft and fluffy, but their overcoats are rough and wiry. This breed comes in almost any color except white. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance. Cairn Terriers are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Are Cairn Terriers a good fit for apartment living?
Cairn Terriers are best suited for a home with a yard, though they can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise. Cairn Terriers are loyal dogs that are great with families and are happy inside or outside. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Bichpoo Puppies

What's the personality of a Bichpoo?
The Bich Poo (also known as a ‘Poochon’ or ‘Bichpoo’) is a cross between a Poodle and a Bichon Frise, a mix which likely originated in the United States. Poodle crossbreeds are meant to produce a dog with mixed traits and the Poodle’s signature nonshedding coat. As a crossbreed, the Bich Poo is not eligible for registration with purebred registries such as the American Kennel Club, but it can be registered with the American Canine Hybrid Club, as ‘Poochon’. The Bich Poo is not considered a purebred because it doesn’t ‘breed true’, meaning that it doesn’t display a consistent set of characteristics. Like other ‘designer breeds’, the Bich Poo has seen a recent surge in popularity. Some breeders produce Bich Poos by crossing a purebred Poodle with a purebred Bichon Frise (called a first generation cross), but others allow crossing Bich Poos with Poodles or Bichon Frises (called a backcross), or other Bich Poos (called a multi-generation cross). Different crosses can result in different characteristics. Full-grown, they typically weigh 6-12 pounds and stand 9-14 inches tall.
Can Bichpoos live with cats and other dogs?
Bichpoos are generally excellent with children of all ages. The Bich Poo is friendly toward strangers, children and other dogs. Bich Poos are great companions for kids, but should be supervised around young children to prevent them from teasing the dog or playing rough. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
How active are Bichpoos on a daily basis?
The Bich Poo is an active dog requiring daily exercise such as a walk, playtime in a fenced-in yard, or a visit to the local dog park, though it can meet a lot of its exercise requirements through indoor play. Most Bich Poos enjoy swimming. Bich Poos are great dogs for an apartment or condo. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
Do Bichpoos shed a lot?
The Bich Poo has a soft, curly coat. Most Bich Poos have little dander and do not shed, making them a good match for those with allergies. Owing to its Poodle heritage, the Bich Poo comes in a wide variety of solid or mixed colors. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate. Bichpoos are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
What living situation works for a Bichpoo?
Bichpoos are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are fairly easy to train.
