About Joey

Joey was the second puppy born and the only male in the litter. This handsome light apricot and white abstract Miniature Poodle may be outnumbered by his sisters, but he certainly holds his own. When freshly groomed and fluffed, Joey resembles a tiny Golden Retriever with his adorable, fluffy coat and charming personality.
Joey is the largest puppy in the litter and loves both playtime and cuddling. His friendly, affectionate nature makes him an excellent candidate for a family companion or devoted best friend.
He is current on his Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella vaccinations and has been routinely dewormed. Joey has been introduced to grooming, socialization, and potty training and continues to make excellent progress in all areas.
Both of Joey's parents are AKC registered Miniature Poodles, and he will come with AKC registration paperwork, vaccination and health records, and a folder containing all of his important information.
Joey is ready to find his forever family and begin his next adventure.

About
Poodle - Miniature
Puppies
What's it like owning a Miniature Poodle?
France has been officially recognized as the Poodle’s country of origin, but the Poodle’s earlier ancestors came from central Asia. The German variety has probably influenced the modern breed most (‘Poodle’ is German for ‘splash’ or ‘puddle’). They typically weigh 10-15 pounds.
Are Miniature Poodles safe around children?
Miniature Poodles are generally excellent with children of all ages. The Miniature Poodle gets along well with other animals, other dogs, and children. Poodles are highly adaptable and make good watchdogs. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.
Are Miniature Poodles high-energy dogs?
The Miniature Poodle requires less exercise then the Standard Poodle, but should be walked or allowed to play outdoors. It should do fine with apartment life. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
How much grooming does a Miniature Poodle need?
The Miniature Poodle has a distinctive fine, frizzy, wooly coat similar in texture to sheep’s wool. Solid white is most common, but the coat may also be solid grey, brown, apricot, or black. There are three distinct grooming styles for show Poodles: puppy clip, continental clip, and English saddle clip. Grooming-wise, this breed is fairly high-maintenance. Miniature Poodles are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Do Miniature Poodles need a house with a yard?
Miniature Poodles are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.

Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
