I’m looking for a loving person or family to give my dog, Kush, the forever home he deserves. Kush is a Jack Russell Terrier mix with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He is incredibly sweet, full of energy, and loves nothing more than being active. Whether it's going for long walks, running around outside, hiking, visiting the park, or taking car rides, Kush is always ready for an adventure. When meeting new people, Kush can be a little shy or nervous at first. He may come across as scared or reserved, but once he gets comfortable and trusts you, he becomes one of the most loving and affectionate dogs you'll ever meet. He absolutely loves attention and thrives when he is included as part of the family. Kush is wonderful with children and enjoys playing with them. He currently lives with my cat and loves her dearly. I haven't had the opportunity to see him around many other cats, so any future introductions would likely require patience and adjustment time. He is crate trained, enjoys spending time outdoors, and is very comfortable with baths. Kush knows several basic commands including sit, stay, wait, quiet, and lay down. He's not picky when it comes to food and happily enjoys just about anything you offer him—sometimes a little too much, as he can be a greedy little guy! Because Kush is very energetic and hyperactive, he needs a home that can provide him with plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation, and quality time. He would do best with someone who has an active lifestyle and can dedicate the attention he needs and deserves. When it comes to other dogs, Kush gets along very well with his brother and has been friendly with female dogs. However, he has shown territorial behavior around male dogs, so this is something potential adopters should keep in mind. My biggest wish is to find a person or family who will love Kush forever and give him the time, care, exercise, and companionship he needs to thrive. I am available for meet-and-greets and possible pickups for anyone interested in providing Kush with a loving home. Thank you for taking the time to learn about this special boy.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Jack Russell Terrier Puppies

Are Jack Russell Terriers a good breed to own?
Jack Russell Terriers can barely contain their energy in their small bodies. They’re feisty pups with a penchant for digging, barking, and hunting, but they’ll promise to behave for some belly rubs. Jack Russells may not be calm or easy to care for, but they’re sure to keep their families safe and on their toes. Full-grown, they typically weigh 13-17 pounds and stand 13-14 inches tall.
Do Jack Russell Terriers get along with kids?
Jack Russell Terriers are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Because of their high energy, these dogs are happiest in homes with large yards where they can run and exercise. Jack Russells prefer to be inside most of the time, where they can be around people and alert the family to approaching strangers. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
What kind of exercise do Jack Russell Terriers need?
Jack Russell Terriers have an unmatched energy and need plenty of exercise to burn it off. If your pup gets obnoxious or destructive in your home, chances are they aren’t getting enough activity. These pups love to run around and play with you and other dogs. Overall, their exercise needs are very high.
What should I expect with Jack Russell Terrier shedding?
Jack Russell Terriers come in three varieties, each with different grooming and care requirements. Smooth-haired Jack Russells have a full coat of smooth, thick fur that covers their entire bodies. On the other hand, rough-haired Jack Russells have a typical double-layered terrier coat. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Do Jack Russell Terriers need a house with a yard?
Jack Russell Terriers are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Because of their high energy, these dogs are happiest in homes with large yards where they can run and exercise. Jack Russells prefer to be inside most of the time, where they can be around people and alert the family to approaching strangers. They are fairly easy to train.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
