Wildwood Cinnamon Kiss, my AKC registerable Long-Coated red sesame female had only one puppy, Kyoki (Overjoyed) on 4/19/2026. She was bred with Wildwood Champagne Frost, my cream male. The puppy is a gorgeous red male and comes from Champion bloodlines. When Kyoki is 3 weeks old, I will be able to tell if he is Long-Coated or has a Standard Coat. Both parents have been DNA tested and are free from 250+ Genetic problems and diseases. Puppies are well socialized in our home and ENS done to help them with socialization. Woollies are $3,000 and Standard Coats are $2,500. All puppies will have their shots, dewormed, vet checked for heart, eyes, and patella luxation, and 2 year health guarantee. Shibas are known to run when given the chance, so make sure your yard is fenced and secured to thwart their escape attempts. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
What should I expect with Shiba Inu shedding?
Shibas have short, straight fur with a soft undercoat. Their most common colors are red, red and white, white, black, black and tan, and salt and pepper. The Shiba Inu’s coat is low maintenance, but they shed quite a bit, requiring brushing at least once a week and a full-on coat containment during their semi-annual shedding season. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
