🐾 Meet This Sweet Border Collie — Looking for a Loving Home!
📍 Located in Clayton, NC
📞 Call or text: (919) 339-9107
This gorgeous almost 2-year-old full-blooded Border Collie is searching for a committed, loving forever family. Her previous owners are no longer able to keep her, so we’re helping find the perfect home where she can thrive.
She is sweet, loyal, smart, and wants nothing more than to bond with her people. Border Collies are known for their intelligence and drive, and she is no exception.
🏡 Personality & Needs
She is a very loving dog but will need consistent training, structure, and patience. She has the potential to be an incredible companion — she just needs someone who will put in the time to help her learn and settle in.
Border Collies thrive on:
• Mental stimulation
• Regular exercise
• Clear routines
• A family willing to work with them
If you can offer those things, this girl will give you her whole heart.
🩺 Health Notes
She is healthy and received all her puppy vaccines, but vet records were misplaced, so she won’t come with paperwork.
She is due for her rabies and updated booster vaccines, so new owners will need to schedule those.
🤝 Meet & Greet Details
Her current owners are holding onto her until the right family is found.
For safety reasons, all meet-and-greets will be done in a public place.
We typically meet at Smithfield Community Park, which has plenty of space for you to interact with him comfortably.
❤️ Ideal Home
She needs a family who will:
• Provide training and consistency
• Give her lots of love and attention
• Offer daily mental and physical exercise
• Be committed to giving her the best life possible
This girl is ready for a fresh start with a family who truly understands and appreciates the Border Collie breed.

About Border Collie Puppies
About Border Collie Puppies
What's the personality of a Border Collie?
Border Collies are one of the smartest and most focused breeds around. These sweet dogs are happiest when they have an activity to do or job to work on, whether it’s playing fetch, digging a hole, or keeping an eye on you. Full-grown, they typically weigh 30-55 pounds and stand 18-22 inches tall.
Do Border Collies get along with kids?
Border Collies are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Border Collie gets along well with other pets and children, but it may try to dominate dogs of the same sex. They should be socialized as puppies with small, non-canine pets so they can overcome their natural prey instincts. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.
Are Border Collies couch potatoes or do they need a lot of exercise?
Border Collies need high-energy owners to satisfy their appetite for exercise and activity. If they get bored or restless, they’re known to act out. The best way to keep Border Collies active is to give them work to do, whether it’s an exercise like running or a game like Frisbee. Overall, their exercise needs are very high.
What should I expect with Border Collie shedding?
Border Collies have thick, shiny undercoats and colorful outer coats that come in several colors, including solid, bicolor, tricolor, merle (lighter coat with speckled patches), or sable (light undercoat with black-tipped hairs). These dogs are average shedders that don’t need much grooming. Brush them once or twice a week to keep their coats clean, and only bathe them when needed. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
How much space does a Border Collie need?
Border Collies are best suited for a home with a yard, though they can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise. They’re adaptable to just about any living setting, so as long as they get enough exercise and attention, they will be happy spending time indoors, outdoors, in warm climates, or cooler places. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
