MARVIN aka "CHONK"
This beautiful boy with classic black and white markings has been a total standout since day one, and he is going to be incredibly difficult to part with. His official litter-themed name is Marvin, but around here, he goes by "Chonk"—a name with a bit of a story! When he was just a week old, I started calling him "Chunk" because he was so much rounder and fatter than all his siblings. My roommate insisted on calling him "Chop." After a couple of weeks of playful debating, we compromised and settled on Chonk, and it suits him perfectly!
Don't let his big size fool you, though; Marvin is by far the absolute chilliest, most laid-back puppy of the entire litter. He is such a sweet, easygoing baby, but he’s also surprisingly forward-thinking. he was actually the first of the bunch to hit quite a few developmental milestones! He also has a completely unique look: his coat is starting to show a beautiful little curl to it, which sets him apart from all his siblings. His dad has a gorgeous wavy coat, and it looks like Marvin is going to take right after him.
He comes from a truly fantastic line:
The Sire (Father): A gorgeous, AKC-registered male with a certified multi-generation pedigree and a beautiful wavy coat.
The Paternal Grandfather: A proven working dog who actively herds and handles the horses for the Fort Worth Police Department.
The Dam (Mother): My absolute best friend, the smartest dog I've ever owned, and an incredible athlete who loves playing frisbee.
Between his calm, sweet disposition, his clever mind, and his handsome, unique coat, he is going to make an unforgettable companion for a very lucky family!
Because this boy is so incredibly special to me, I am being very selective about where he goes. To be considered, please introduce yourself when you reach out and tell me a bit about your lifestyle, your home, and your experience with active, intelligent breeds.
Please note: To ensure my puppies go to the absolute best homes, I am only responding to inquiries that include this information. Thank you so much for understanding!

About

Puppies
What's the personality of a Border Collie?
Border Collies are one of the smartest and most focused breeds around. These sweet dogs are happiest when they have an activity to do or job to work on, whether it’s playing fetch, digging a hole, or keeping an eye on you. Full-grown, they typically weigh 30-55 pounds and stand 18-22 inches tall.
Do Border Collies get along with kids?
Border Collies are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Border Collie gets along well with other pets and children, but it may try to dominate dogs of the same sex. They should be socialized as puppies with small, non-canine pets so they can overcome their natural prey instincts. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.
Are Border Collies couch potatoes or do they need a lot of exercise?
Border Collies need high-energy owners to satisfy their appetite for exercise and activity. If they get bored or restless, they’re known to act out. The best way to keep Border Collies active is to give them work to do, whether it’s an exercise like running or a game like Frisbee. Overall, their exercise needs are very high.
What should I expect with Border Collie shedding?
Border Collies have thick, shiny undercoats and colorful outer coats that come in several colors, including solid, bicolor, tricolor, merle (lighter coat with speckled patches), or sable (light undercoat with black-tipped hairs). These dogs are average shedders that don’t need much grooming. Brush them once or twice a week to keep their coats clean, and only bathe them when needed. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
How much space does a Border Collie need?
Border Collies are best suited for a home with a yard, though they can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise. They’re adaptable to just about any living setting, so as long as they get enough exercise and attention, they will be happy spending time indoors, outdoors, in warm climates, or cooler places. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.

A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
