Meet Millie! She is a black&tan smoothcoat Valhallah Pup. She is intelligent, gentle, athletic, brave, protective, & a bit sassy! She is so much fun totally loves ARBYS and is so good she always gets a slider! She was expertly trained in 2024. She has a service dog ID for full free access EVERYWHERE! Even on planes! She is house & crate trained great on a leash, superior car passenger, fully vetted and spayed a year ago. She has never had pups. Sadly her master passed away before her 2nd Birthday from cancer. Millie was her devoted nurse thru her masters year of chemo and treatments. She never left her side. If you read my bio you know I keep in contact lifelong. Her master & I became friends once she got Millie. Its important for me to witness how my pups grow and progress which is why I am always available for advice across the board.
Currently we have a professional transporter who lovingly transports our pups once their family is approved. But I prefer meeting you in person whether driving or at the airport. We DO NOT transfer papers although all our dogs are AKC. This protects our European lines and ensures they are not purchased by breeders who would raise them in a kennel. Our pups are special and destined to be an important part of the family we choose. We begin training as soon as the pups can walk. They are trained on ramps, steps, have cat wheels to exercise on when the weather is inclimate. They are trained on pup pads in the cold Ohio winters. As soon as the weather breaks they aretrained outdoors. They learn outdoor scenting and are natural hunters like their European ancestors. They hate squirrels!! (so do I). If you are looking for a gentle cuddly optimally trained 2 year old, out of the puppy stage and vetted Millie could be your love match. I require a personal call for you to get to know me and me you. Millie will not just go to anyone. I must be sure that it IS a love match. Raising Service Dogs professionally gives me a unique perspective on the pup/person connection. I am not looking for a dog owner for Millie I am looking for a dog person who understands the love and understanding a pup needs thru their life. A Valhallah Pup dedicates their life to you, just as Millie did for her master. Sadly Millie lost hers. I promised her master to find the perfect family for her, and I know she is watching over her in heaven and helping me find just the right person. If you love her lets set up a call and have a conversation. God Bless in your search for a loving companion.

Frequently Asked Questions
About
Miniature Dachshund
Puppies
Is a Miniature Dachshund the right dog for me?
The Dachshund (pronounced dak-sund; also known as a ‘Teckel’) originated in Germany in the sixteenth century. They were bred and trained to chase down prey, such as a badger (Dachshund means ‘Badger Dog’) or fox, enter its burrow, kill it, and retrieve it. Full-grown, they typically weigh 9-11 pounds and stand 5-6 inches tall.
How do Miniature Dachshunds behave around young children?
Miniature Dachshunds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Miniature Dachshund is somewhat reserved around strangers and may bark at them, but forms a strong bond with family. It can be too courageous around larger dogs. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
What activities do Miniature Dachshunds enjoy most?
The Miniature Dachshund needs a small amount of exercise; medium length walks or a fair amount of play in the yard should be sufficient. Miniature Dachshunds may tire easily so exercise should be spaced out throughout the day. Miniature Dachshunds can live comfortably in an apartment, but it is best if they get an occasional view of the wild. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
What should I expect with Miniature Dachshund shedding?
The smooth- and long-haired Miniature Dachshund should be brushed occasionally to remove dead hairs. Long-haired Miniature Dachshunds are prone to tangles, so they should be groomed more often. The coat of the wire-haired Miniature Dachshund should be plucked twice a year. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Can a Miniature Dachshund live in an apartment?
Miniature Dachshunds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are fairly easy to train.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
