We got Nuke about 6 months ago in South Carolina as a puppy so he is about 8 months old. Nuke is an amazing puppy and so beautiful. We love him we unfortunately won’t be able to have him as we are downsizing in houses. Nuke has Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy, a developmental condition that affects the long bones of growing puppies and young dogs, causing painful swelling and inflammation. We found out about his condition when it flared up when he got vaccinated, and he was in pain. Since then he hasn’t had any super noticeable pain. It is a condition that he is able to grow out of, he may already have grown out of it, we haven't seen any signs of a flare up or anything at all for about 2-3 months. He plays, eats, walks and sleeps as normal as a puppy without HOD. He is super nice and would be such a good dog for a family. We’re hoping for a family or owner to take him in and have the time available to play with him as much he needs and have the time to train him as well.
