Our farm animals are considered family to us, from the chickens to the Great Pyranees puppies, we hold everyone dear.
We have mother (Ivory) and father (Everest) on the farm, where daily interactions with one another and the farm animals are possible.
From the early moments of life, the Great Pyranees puppies are kept in a clean, climate-controlled environment and are tended to daily.
Beginning on Day 3, we begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), journey of daily, gentle exercises that promote neurological system health and heart health. ENS exercises are a part of Sheffield Shop curriculum.
We also begin Early Scent Introduction (ESI), beginning on day 3, where we introduce different scents to a puppy, to enhance their sense of smell and encourage healthy development and exercise. ESI aims to increase brain function and help puppies develop their strongest sense, aiming to create a more alert companion.
We have a regimented daily weighing schedule, up to 2 weeks, then followed by a weekly weighing schedule. This allows us to ensure the puppies are growing at a steady and healthy rate and, more quickly, recognize any changes that may show signs of distress or health concerns.
As the puppies grow, we slowly introduce them to the outdoors, where we have close supervision over them in a secured play area, where they can explore and improve their confidence in navigating new environments. Each puppy receives personalized attention and proper socialization.
Adult dogs are also able to stretch their legs, in wide, fenced areas, where they can maintain their fitness and continue to exercise their natural instinct to patrol and protect. The entire property is fenced in, as well.
All dogs are involved with the everyday demands of the farm, which includes interactions with each other, chickens, ducks, and cats (indoors).
We aim to provide a loving, safe, and curious environment to aid in healthy physical and mental development. Puppies have tons of room to grow, learn, explore, and hone in on their natural instincts.
We strive to raise our puppies in ways that prepares them for their road ahead, whether to be an active livestock guardian dog or just a loyal companion. On our farm, though small, our goal is to ensure we raise healthy Great Pyranees dogs who are active, happy, knowledgeable, and above all feel loved and are ready to give love!
