In 2021 after we became pregnant with our first, and a lot of planning we decided that a border collie puppy would be the best fit for our lifestyle and goals as a new family. She came to us with puppy strangles, a bacterial, fungal, and viral infection. Over time we learned she had mdr1, blindness, epilepsy, and deafness. We sold our house years later and spent two years traveling to develop our breeding program to make sure anyone that got a collie from us would never have to go through that. We breed in honor of her memory. We run all available OFA exams on everyone in our breeding program, genetics test, and temperament/ work ability test before they are accepted into our program. We also have a GoodDog profile and Facebook group called Athena’s Collies. We have a lifetime take back program, goodie bags that go home with all of our puppies, veterinary administered vaccinations, a full health check from our vet clinic for each puppy, microchips, a revolution dose (protects against heart worms, fleas, and ticks for 30 days), genetic + health guarantee, lifetime support, proper deworming. Our program stands out because we are constantly looking for ways to improve our program. Our puppies come with AKC, ABCA, and ISDS regulation (only one out of 4 litter a year is ISDS registered).
