About Marquis
My name is Marquis Dowling, founder of Von Dowling Rottweilers. My passion for dogs and breeding dates back to 1996, with decades of hands-on experience across multiple breeds. My approach has always been rooted in responsible ownership, thoughtful breeding decisions, and an unwavering commitment to the dogs in my care.
I consider myself a dog owner first and a breeder second. My Rottweilers are family members before they are breeding dogs. They are raised inside my home, surrounded by daily interaction, attention, and a family environment.
My breeding program brings together carefully selected European bloodlines, including German, Serbian, and Romanian influences. I place importance on pedigree, temperament, structure, health history, and preserving the qualities that make the Rottweiler such an exceptional breed.
I believe a well-bred Rottweiler should be more than impressive in appearance. They should possess sound temperaments, confidence, intelligence, loyalty, and the ability to become devoted family companions and natural protectors.
At Von Dowling Rottweilers, I don’t believe in cutting corners or breeding simply to produce puppies. Every breeding decision has a purpose, and every puppy deserves the foundation for a healthy, fulfilling life.
My philosophy is simple: Personal protection comes naturally to a well-bred Rottweiler. Excellence begins long before a puppy is born.
