I've loved Australian Labradoodles since 2006, when a visit to a the original Tegan Park kennel near Ocala, Florida turned into an unexpected mentorship. I learned the breed from Angela Cunningham at Tegan Park USA — one of the people who helped bring this breed from Australia to America in its earliest years. She taught me the standard, structure, temperament, and coat from the inside, not from a book. My foundation dog, Tegan Park's Monarch, came home with me from that program and became the start of everything.
When that program later closed, my family and I took in fifteen of their dogs overnight and cared for them for months while things got sorted out — one of the hardest and most meaningful things I've ever done, and it taught me exactly what this breed is supposed to be at its healthiest and best.
My husband serves in the U.S. Navy, and we're now settled near Oceana Naval Station in Virginia Beach. I'm ALAA-registered and keep my program intentionally small — one thoughtful litter at a time — because every puppy deserves my full attention.
