With a lifelong passion for the outdoors and working dogs, Cay Creek Kennels was built on experience, dedication, and a deep respect for canine capability.
From an early age, I was immersed in hunting alongside bird dogs, developing hands-on experience training and handling multiple breeds, including Boykin Spaniels, Brittany Spaniels, and ultimately finding my greatest passion in German Shorthaired Pointers.
That foundation expanded into a 14-year career in law enforcement, where I served 7 years as a canine handler. During that time, I accumulated over 3,500 hours of documented canine training and more than 500 hours of certification and recertification in:
• Narcotics detection
• Patrol operations
• Tracking
• Suspect apprehension
My experience includes working with green (untrained) dogs from vendors as well as successfully transitioning former military working dogs into highly effective narcotics detection canines.
What drives Cay Creek Kennels is a genuine passion for training and developing dogs to reach their full potential. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing what a well-trained canine can accomplish through consistency, structure, and trust.
