I have always been passionate about animals. I have had GSP's in my life for a little over 13 years now.. I have always had dogs, but none that have stolen my heart in the way this breed has. Their intelligence, loyalty, stamina and athleticism still blow my mind every day! I have spent a good part of my life in the animal field as well. Both the veterinary side as well as the pharmaceutical side. This background, along with my love for this breed and being an avid hunter, led me to major research and the purchase the sire and dam of this litter - which are my loyal companions and hunting partners. My goal is was to combine the excellent genetics to provide healthy, well-rounded family, sport, or working athletes built for a very long and vibrant life. This litter is my 5 year dream in the fur (flesh)! There will only be this litter and MAYBE one more from this pair next year. I currently work in the mental health field, and have seen the incredible difference a great companion/service dog can make. My own dogs have helped me to understand this FIRST HAND. This is why I started every one of these pups with ENS and ESI. This gives them the best foundation to start from to increase even further their chances of a long and HEALTHY life! These pups come from an incredible working line of field champions and family members combined. Their diversity (COI of 9%avg!!) further increases their health/life expectancy, and both parents have been Embark DNA tested and cleared of genetic health issues as well.
I am SO passionate about this that I literally transformed my living room into a kennel/aka the puppy arena! They get consistent attention, and now , turning 8 weeks only, they are doing a great job with their beginning lessons in recall, scent detection and retrieving! They have been exposed to so many sights and sounds that they are quite confident in themselves already. I absolutely love seeing their indivdual personalities form more by the day!
