My Passion for Performance Sports
I got my first Australian Shepherd, Audrey, in 2018 and trained her to be my service dog. Audrey is also a Trick Dog Champion and I quickly fell in love with the versatility of the breed! Some years ago I took Audrey to a sheep herding trial as her birthday present. Both Audrey and I were hooked! Fast forward a few months and I'd bought sheep! From that point forward being an Australian Shepherd breeder and also a shepherdess became my passions. Over the years I have competed in conformation and at many performance venues, where my dogs and I quickly fell in love with the sports of Dock Diving, Hydro Dash and Air Retrieve. In Rhode Island we have a long winter during which no dock diving is available. Just as many people in New England, our dogs also enjoy winter sports such as Barn Hunt, Herding, Scent Work & Rally. Realizing my dogs' potential and embracing their natural instincts for work and competition has brought me so much closer to them. Aussies are a working breed and I love to see them in their true element!
