About Savannah
I dreamed of having a Pembroke Welsh Corgi for more than ten years before bringing home Dani. I initially hoped to adopt, but after several heartbreaking setbacks—including a scam and a rescue’s distance restriction—I found her on Pawrade. When I saw her photos and video, I cried. She was the dog I had imagined for so long. I still tell people she’s the best money I’ve ever spent, and I would choose her again in a heartbeat. She’s my heart and soul. There’s nothing quite like those big, soft corgi eyes and that unmistakable smile! Dani even placed in the top 20 of a national cuteness contest with more than 100,000 entrants. Obi (the puppies' dad) joined our family through AKC Marketplace and quickly became my constant companion. He’s my clinger—whether he’s resting his head on my feet or snuggling beside me on the couch, he always wants to be close. Together, these two have made me fall even more in love with the breed’s intelligence, affection, humor, and very strong opinions! Although we initially considered breeding, we decided against a litter because I was worried about pregnancy complications for Dani. A death in our family and the travel that followed delayed her planned spay, and an accidental mating resulted in our five puppies. Both parents had genetic health testing before the pregnancy, and we had their results reviewed by two veterinarians. This is Dani's first and only litter. We're deeply grateful that her pregnancy and delivery went well without emergency intervention, but a smooth experience this time doesn't guarantee the same outcome another time. She means far too much to me to put her through another pregnancy, and we have no plans to breed her again. Our puppies are being raised in our home as part of our family. They received Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises during their early puppyhood, alongside gentle handling and daily affection. We’ve loved watching them grow and getting to know their individual personalities. Samwise is staying with us. As hard as it is to imagine, I know Dani and Obi won’t be here forever, and the thought of letting every one of their puppies go was something I couldn’t shake. Keeping Sam means having a little piece of both of them with us as he grows into his own deeply loved member of our family. Our only female puppy is joining my father, who fell in love with Dani during his cancer treatment and surgery. We’re now looking for loving, committed homes for our remaining three boys. My hope is that each family finds the same joy and companionship in their puppy that Dani and Obi have brought into my life. Both parents are AKC-registered Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Because Dani has limited registration, these puppies are not eligible for AKC registration and will go home without AKC registration papers. We’re happy to share both parents’ genetic health reports, explain the reported findings, and provide records of each puppy’s veterinary exams, vaccinations, and deworming as completed. The puppies have not been individually genetically tested. Each puppy has received their first vaccination and an individual veterinary exam, and their deworming is up to date. Our veterinarian was pleased with their temperaments and overall health. Our puppies grow up alongside us in our apartment, with daily affection, play, and interaction with Dani and Obi. They’ve been introduced to everyday household sounds, including the vacuum and music, along with brushing, baths, and nail trims. We also practice handling their paws, ears, and mouths to help them become comfortable with routine veterinary exams and grooming. They share a large puppy playpen and are learning to use a designated potty-pad area. They recognize their current names, but their new families are welcome to choose their own! Because our outdoor space is shared with other dogs, we’ve been careful about where their paws touch the ground while their vaccination series is underway. Their outings have included being carried, visits to my mother’s home, and experiencing a parade. They’ve also met and been gently handled by many different people. These experiences are introductions to the world around them; their new families will need to continue socialization and training as they grow.
