About Valerie
Meet the Breeders
Hi! We are Chris and Valerie, the faces behind Chaltry's Riverside Reds. As empty nesters in our late 40s, our dogs truly are our world. Established in 2024 along the scenic waters of Turner, Michigan, our small kennel is born out of a lifelong passion for AKC-registered Golden Retrievers and a commitment to doing things the right way. In fact, we dedicated three full years to carefully planning our very first litter, ensuring everything was perfectly in place to bring healthy, happy puppies into the world.
Our beautiful riverfront property serves as the ultimate training ground and playground for our dogs, who are full family members first and foremost.
They are raised right alongside us, completely integrated into our daily routine. We intentionally breed versatile, healthy, and intuitive companions built to be true "do whatever you do" dogs. Whether they are eagerly retrieving from the river, joining us for a weekend of camping in the great outdoors, or happily turning into ultimate couch potatoes at the end of the day, our Goldens adapt effortlessly to every pace of life.
At Chaltry's Riverside Reds, health, temperament, and socialization are our highest priorities. All of our dogs are Embark DNA tested and showered with love, ensuring that every puppy inherits the gentle nature, sharp intelligence, and adaptable spirit that makes a Golden Retriever the perfect lifelong partner. Whether you are looking for an active outdoor adventurer or a loyal family cuddle buddy, our dogs are raised ready to walk alongside you through it all.
