El is the first-born of Freya's litter of 8/15/2026, and also the largest girl. She is a lovely shaded red with a cute white patch on her chest. She is bold and adventurous, loves to play with her brothers, but also doesn't mind a little alone time sometimes.
We are a small family breeder located in Tallahassee. Our dogs all live in the home with us. The pups are raised in our family room, where we keep a close eye on them. They are kept at home until they get their first shots at eight weeks, to help prevent any possibility of disease transmission.
All our pups are well-socialized, and used to being around humans and other dogs. When they are old enough, we start them on watered-down wet food, gradually transitioning to kibble. Once they start running around, we take them outside into a special fenced area to run and play. We also start them on pee pads and learning to go outside.
The puppies receive three wormings (typically at 2, 4 and 6 weeks) and their first shots (8 weeks). A veterinary certificate is provided, as required by Florida law. Please have your puppy checked by your veterinarian within seven days from the delivery date; you may return the puppy within this time frame if any problems are detected by your vet. Puppies are sold as pets with a limited AKC registration.

Dachshunds need exercise a few times a day. They’ll enjoy a brisk walk, and their little legs can actually carry them for quite a distance if you’ve got time for a longer stroll. In general, plan on allotting about 30 minutes of exercise per day. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
Do Dachshunds shed a lot?
Dachshunds actually come in three different coat types, wire-haired, long-haired, and smooth. For smooth-haired and long-haired Dachshunds, a weekly brushing will help clean their hair and cut back on shedding. For wire-haired Dachshunds, you’ll need to pluck or strip their hair about twice a year and trim their excess hair around their eyebrows and paws. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Do Dachshunds need a house with a yard?
Dachshunds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Dachshunds fit best in homes where they can live indoors with their pet parents. They will act out and dig even more if left to their own devices full-time in your backyard. They are fairly easy to train.
