❤️ PILOT ❤️
(Kennel Name: Rhode Mountain Pilot In Command)
Every litter seems to have one puppy that quietly works his way into your heart.
For us, that’s Pilot.
From the very beginning, Pilot has been a thinker. While his brothers were often the first to charge into a new adventure, Pilot would pause, watch, and then confidently join in once he had decided the situation met his approval. He isn’t shy. He isn’t timid. He’s simply thoughtful.
Pilot is the puppy who notices everything.
He notices when you walk into the room. He notices when his brothers are up to mischief. He notices when something new appears in the yard. He has an old-soul quality about him that is hard to describe until you’ve spent time with him.
He loves his toys. He enjoys playing with his brothers. He is always ready for a good wrestling match, but he is equally happy sitting nearby, watching the world go by. More than anything, Pilot enjoys being with his people. Around our home he has earned the title of “Mama’s Boy,” and I suspect his future family will quickly discover the same deep loyalty and affection.
Pilot has been raised on our mountain ranch at 6,000 feet in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California. He spends his days exploring outdoors, taking walks, observing the chickens, meeting visitors, and experiencing everyday ranch life. He has been exposed to vehicles, equipment, household activity, grooming, and all the normal sights and sounds that help create a confident, well-rounded puppy.
He was started on the Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS/Bio Sensor) program shortly after birth and has received daily handling, socialization, and enrichment from day one. He comes running when called using our special recall cue, “Here Kitty Kitty,” usually with an expression that suggests he is convinced something wonderful is about to happen.
Pilot is already developing into a substantial young male with excellent bone, a beautiful head, and the calm confidence Bouviers are known for. At just 9 weeks of age, he weighs 17.53 pounds and continues to impress us with both his growth and temperament.
His sire, Baron, weighs over 100 pounds and both parents are AKC registered, health tested, and on the premises. They have completed health clearances including hips, elbows, and eyes and come from champion bloodlines.
When Pilot leaves for his forever home, he won’t simply be a puppy handed over with paperwork. He will already be well on his way to becoming an exceptional family companion and partner. Whether your dreams include carting, obedience, herding, conformation, performance events, or simply sharing your life with a remarkable Bouvier, Pilot has the potential to go wherever your heart — and his paws — choose to travel.
And while Rhode Mountain Pilot In Command is his kennel name, one of the great joys of bringing home a new puppy is choosing the AKC registered name and call name that will stay with him for the rest of his life.
✈️ Cleared for takeoff and ready to fly into his forever home — and straight into your heart.

Puppies
Is a Bouvier des Flandres the right dog for me?
Often weighing in at over 100 lbs., the Bouvier des Flandres may look intimidating, but underneath their massive size and long coat, they're really just gentle giants. These dogs are hard workers with calm personalities who love finding a job to focus on. Full-grown, they typically weigh 70-110 pounds and stand 23-28 inches tall.
How do Bouvier des Flandress behave around young children?
Bouvier des Flandress are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Bouvier des Flandres are calm and great with children. What activities do Bouvier des Flandress enjoy most?
The Bouvier des Flandres is a fairly energetic dog with moderate exercises needs. These dogs enjoy a good, long walk or run each day and having something to do, like a sport or activity that requires focus. If you have a yard, make sure the fence is at least five feet high to keep the tall and athletic Bouvier from jumping over. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
Are Bouvier des Flandress high-maintenance when it comes to grooming?
The Bouvier des Flandres has a fine, soft undercoat and a very coarse, dense outer coat that is resistant to the elements. Their hair is particularly thick around the beard and eyebrows.
