Oh, Veronica. 💜 This girl has such a special little personality.
Veronica is an absolutely beautiful red AKC Poodle girl with that gorgeous fluffy coat, sweet dark eyes, and the cutest serious little expressions. She can look so proper for her pictures, but there is a playful, silly puppy underneath all that fluff!
She has been raised right here in our home with her littermates and has grown into a sweet, affectionate, playful and very social little girl. Veronica tends to take a moment to look things over before jumping right in, but once she is comfortable, she is right there enjoying everything with everyone else. She loves attention, loves to play, and has such a sweet way about her.
At 8 weeks old, she is at such a fun age. She is curious, learning constantly, playing hard, exploring, chewing on everything she can find, and then crashing for a puppy nap. She has had lots of handling from the very beginning and has been introduced to normal household activity, grooming and having her feet handled, crate time, different surfaces and everyday puppy routines.
About Veronica's parents
Her mom, Ginni, is an AKC apricot Miniature Poodle. She is approximately 13.5 inches tall and 19 lbs. Ginni is sweet, loyal, intelligent and LOVING — and she has been a wonderful mama.
Her dad, Lou, is an AKC red Standard Poodle, although his actual size is much closer to what most would consider a Medium/Moyen Poodle. Lou is approximately 18 inches tall and 22 lbs. He has a wonderful calm, affectionate temperament, loves to play fetch, and also knows how to settle down and just be with US AS A family.
Based on her parents, current size and development, I expect Veronica to mature into that wonderful large Miniature/Medium-Moyen range, approximately 14–17 inches tall and around 18–25 lbs as an adult. Adult size is always an estimate, of course, but she should be a really nice in-between size — not tiny and not a big Standard. This is such a great in-between size. Big enough to feel like a sturdy, substantial dog that can keep up with family life, walks, outings and adventures, but still small enough to be easy to manage, travel with, curl up beside you on the couch and fit comfortably into everyday life. For many families, that 18–25 lb Large Mini/Moyen range really is the sweet spot — you get so much of that wonderful Poodle personality and athleticism without the size of a full Standard.
Veronica has had her first veterinary puppy exam, first vaccination and deworming and received a clean bill of health.
Most of all, she is ready for her family. Someone is going to get to watch this little girl grow from this fluffy 8-week-old puppy into a beautiful Poodle and have all those firsts with her — first adventures, first successful nights in her crate, learning her new routine, figuring out where all the toys are kept, and eventually becoming that dog who knows her family and their life inside and out.
