Archie – Adult Goldendoodle Looking for the Right Home
Archie is a 3-year-old neutered male Goldendoodle looking for an experienced home where he can thrive. He was born in our program and recently returned to us, allowing us the unique opportunity to spend several months evaluating him in our own home and learning exactly what type of family suits him best.
Archie is fully house trained, crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows numerous obedience commands including sit, down, stay, come, leave it, drop, and recall. He settles beautifully indoors and enjoys a predictable routine.
He loves hiking, swimming, rivers, sprinklers, kiddie pools, stuffed toys, and spending time with his people. While he enjoys the company of many dogs, he prefers human companionship over dog play and is socially selective with other adult dogs.
Archie is not recommended for homes with young children due to a history of resource guarding. After living with us for several months, we've found his challenges to be much more specific and manageable than originally believed. He thrives with structure, clear expectations, and experienced owners who understand dog behavior.
