Barbie is such a little doll! She can be a bit dramatic at times 🙈, but she’s an absolute sweetheart with a fun-loving personality. Barbie would do well in most homes but would especially enjoy a family with adventures to look forward to, whether that’s walks around the neighborhood, road trips, or simply being your sidekick for everyday life.
Our puppies are raised in our home and socialized with children, cats, horses, sheep, and dogs of all ages and sizes. They are handled daily, introduced to litter box training at 3 weeks, the doggie door at 5 weeks, and crate training at 6 weeks.
Puppies are dewormed every 2 weeks beginning at 2 weeks old and vaccinated every 2–3 weeks starting at 6 weeks. Each puppy is microchipped with Fi Nano, receives a veterinary health exam prior to pickup, comes with a 3-year health guarantee, and includes 30 days of free Trupanion pet insurance.
Dad is health tested and clear for Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (POAG), Mucopolysaccharidosis I (MPS I), Thrombopathia, and the Embark Breed Panel. Mom is clear for MPS I, and we are awaiting the remainder of her Embark breed panel results due to a swab issue.
The listed price is for AKC limited registration with a spay/neuter agreement.
Ground transport is available for an additional $525 through a licensed and insured transport company.
A non-refundable $250 deposit will reserve the puppy of your choosing, with the remaining balance due at pickup. Puppies are eligible to begin going home on June 30th.

They were born to hunt for as long as you’ll let them, so you generally won’t ever entirely wear them out. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
What should I expect with Basset Hound shedding?
Although the Basset Hound’s coat is very short, it does require daily brushing. Their hair sheds heavily, and if you want to reduce the amount you find around your house, these daily brushings will help. Some people think the Basset Hound’s oily coat gives off a bad smell, but that can be helped with regular baths. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
What kind of home is best for a Basset Hound?
Basset Hounds are best suited for a house with a good-sized yard. If you don’t want a dog with an incredibly loud voice howling constantly, the Basset Hound need to be in a situation they can live inside with you. They also love to play outside and will follow any interesting scents they come across, so a home with a big backyard or a farmhouse is a good bet for a happy Basset Hound.
