Barrens is a beautiful black, tan and bluetick female beagle. She is looking for a great retirement home with lots of attention and room to run. She is quite independent so isn't looking to be a lap dog just yet but she does love attention. In her younger days, she was being trained in field trials so she definitely has some of that instinct. As of late, she's been a mom but she's ready to sit back and retire. She is current on yearly shots, worming and rabies. She is not house trained. She gets along well with other dogs as long as she can be in charge of the food bowl. She does fine with cats. She is AKC registered but at this low price her papers are not included. Beagles are best suited for a home with a yard, though they can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise. The happiest Beagles have access to a large, safe, outdoors play area but can come back inside to live with their families. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.
