We have a beautiful Pudelpointer puppy for sale and he is ready to go to his new home. Bluey will have a longer coat and has a very small white patch on his chest. Both dam and sire come from great bloodlines. The dam is a hard hunter with lots of energy, great pointing instincts and is very smart. The sire is a great hunter as well and loves the water and is used for upland and waterfowl hunting. The litter is unregistered. The Pudelpointer is an all-around German gun dog bred from the German hunting poodle and the English Pointer in year 1881. It offers exceptional hunting versatility on land and water, high intelligence, a loyal family temperament, and a low-shedding wirehaired coat. Hunting and Working Skills **All-terrain retriever:**Excels at tracking, pointing, and retrieving in both upland fields and cold water. **Stamina and nose:**Possesses a powerful sense of smell with high endurance for long days outdoors. **Cooperative drive:**Eager to work closely with a human handler rather than hunting independently. Temperament and Home Life **Great "on/off" switch:**High-energy and focused while working, but calm and affectionate indoors. **Smart and trainable:**Learns quickly and responds very well to positive reinforcement. **Family-friendly:**Loyal and gentle with children when properly socialized. Coat and Care **Low shedding:**The wirehaired double coat sheds very little, making it easier for people with mild dog allergies. **Weather-resistant:**Built to repel water and protect against thick brush. **Healthy breed:**Generally robust with a solid lifespan of 13 to 15 years.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Pudelpointer Puppies

What kind of dog is a Pudelpointer?
Pudelpointers are a rare hunting breed with many talents. They are excellent gundogs who retrieve equally well on land and water. They are smart, eager to please, and gentle. If you are willing to wait to find the right puppy, this breed makes a wonderful companion. Full-grown, they typically weigh 45-70 pounds and stand 22-26 inches tall.
Are Pudelpointers a good choice for families with kids?
Pudelpointers are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Other than needing some extra space to live in, a Pudelpointer can fit into most any family. They are excellent with children and usually get along with other pets, especially if they are raised together. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
How much exercise does a Pudelpointer need?
Pudelpointers are not short on energy and need a good amount of exercise every day. A Pudelpointer's favorite way to exercise is to go hunting, where they can follow their nose and retrieve game for you on land or in water. In fact, they love playing in water, so be ready if you walk by a pond! Overall, their exercise needs are high.
What should I expect with Pudelpointer shedding?
The Pudelpointer’s wiry, dense coat is excellent at protecting them from the elements when they’re out hunting with you in the field. You’ll need to give them a weekly brushing to keep their coat healthy and to remove any dead hair or debris they’ve accumulated during trips to the great outdoors. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance. Pudelpointers are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Are Pudelpointers a good fit for apartment living?
Pudelpointers are best suited for a home with a yard, though they can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise. Pudelpointers have lots of energy and prefer to live somewhere with a large, safe space to play. They are best suited to a rural home where their barking won’t annoy any neighbors. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.

Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records

Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
