Buck is a big baby doll of an Afghan hound puppy who is a red sable with black mask. He is quite red and not changed too
Much as of yet. . He is going to mature to be truly the King Of Dogs
His sire was imported from
Serbia and his dam is out of American multi-generations of champions.
Bucks attributes
1. Does well in his xl crate (not included) good in the house - a little aloof like an Afghan Hound and is also independent and a whole lot nosey - loves to look at things all over the house lol
2. Doesn’t bark - he is such a good boy. Not whiny, barky and clean like a cat
3. Walks with a harness and loves his daily walks. Runs zoomies in my large yard. He is hilarious to watch
NO APARTMENTS please
NO UNFENCED yards please
Please understand the breed and their long strides, exercise needs and grooming requirements
Health
1. He has received all his vaccines including kennel cough / will only need his rabies
2. He has been fully EMBARKED already (a $150 value) and he is FULL panel clear and carries domino and tan points
That whole print out will be given to new owners
3. Will come with his harness and leash (not his kennel)
4. NO AKC papers at this price but will include his litter pedigree and his mother’s championship pedigrees in his folder.
5. He is intact with two normal descended little man bits. We do not believe in early spay/neuter as hormones are especially important for bone grown and development. He will be sold intact with recommendations of waiting the appropriate time for neuter.
Only reason he is being rehomed is I had plans of coating him out and showing him locally. My plans have changed in life a little and I want what is best for him. He is a lovely dog, kind hearted and so sweet and sensitive
He is an affie through and through and sometimes he has a mind of his own in his independent affie way.
He WILL BE A BIG boy as an adult! A gorgeous big cat like clean boy.
Can meet anywhere an hour from st Mary’s GA
Our wishes for him
1. No small children (he like to push me over sometimes as he doesn’t understand he’s getting bigger lol)
2. Dog savvy cats are okay - he has been raised with two dog savvy cats and he doesn’t hurt them but he is chase curious. If they run he runs (like a normal sighthound)
3. He does well with large and small dogs - he is gentle with small dogs (he was raised with mini poodles)
4. A fenced yard
5. An active family
6. Commitment to his future grooming needs. Affies require specific coat care, bathing and conditioning.

About
Afghan Hound
Puppies
Is a Afghan Hound the right dog for me?
Afghan Hounds live for the thrill of the chase. They are excellent sprinters, but they also love to laze around the house. They can be a bit stubborn, but they develop deep connections with their owners despite their occasionally aloof personalities. Full-grown, they typically weigh 50-60 pounds and stand 25-27 inches tall.
How do Afghan Hounds behave around young children?
Afghan Hounds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Afghan Hounds need to be a part of a family where they can live indoors with people. They get along with children if they are raised around them, but usually don’t do so well with cats. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
What activities do Afghan Hounds enjoy most?
As previously stated, Afghan hounds love to sprint. They are natural hunters who will chase anything for fun, which translates well into an immense talent for coursing. One of the best ways to exercise an Afghan Hound is to let them loose in a safe, enclosed area where they can run free and burn off their energy. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
Is a Afghan Hound a good choice for someone with allergies?
Perhaps the most definitive attribute of the Afghan Hound is their long, luxurious coat. Their hair is silky and fine and needs to be brushed three or four times per week. These brushings will help remove tangles or matting and cut back on shedding. Grooming-wise, this breed is fairly high-maintenance. Afghan Hounds are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
What should first-time owners know about Afghan Hounds?
Afghan Hounds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Afghan Hounds need to be a part of a family where they can live indoors with people. They don’t need a ton of space as long as you make sure to exercise them daily. They are can be stubborn and challenging to train.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.

Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.

Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.

A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
