Meet Elodie!
She is an 8 month old Female Hairy Hairless Chinese Crested.
This means her hair pattern grows more body hair, but she is genetically still hairless. Grooming is required to maintain the breed standard haircut.
Miss Elodie is a smaller lady, who will remain between 6-9lbs fully grown.
She is looking for a pet only home (her price is for pet only), but I will consider full registration for the right program. If pet only, she will be required to be spayed.
She is honestly the sweetest, most gentle girl I could ask for. She also loves to "roo, roo" to talk back to you when she is excited.
She's playful, loves her people, and easy going. If you are looking for a dog who will enjoy playing and cuddling then she is your girl.
She is being placed only because I am reducing my related dogs for future breeding plans. She has no faults or issues and is easy to keep.
She is fully crate trained, and potty trained. You do need to consider that she is a small breed dog and therefore can not hold it forever. Otherwise she can go 6-8 hours without issues if she needs to.
She is accustomed to eating, napping, and being in a crate when unsupervised and is quiet.
She knows how to walk on leash, can be timid in loud places but will come around quickly once she gets a good chance to observe her surroundings.
She can easily be in a home with another dog friendly dog or dogs, and/or cats.
I own both her parents and she has been hand raised from day one. She is a beautiful mixture of both of them.
She is UTD on all vaccines, microchipped, and AKC registered.
She will have blood work and a fecal completed before going home, as well as a health certificate from the Vet who has been seeing her since young puppyhood.

Full-grown, they typically weigh 8-12 pounds and stand 11-13 inches tall.

Chinese Cresteds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Chinese Crested gets along well with children who respect their pup's personal space, other dogs, and any household pets. Young children should be watched around the Hairless Chinese Crested as they lack the naturally protective coat most breeds have to protect them from rough play. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
What's the best way to exercise a Chinese Crested?
Chinese Crested exercise and activity needs are rather minimal. They prefer a daily walk, but can usually have their needs met by indoor play. The Chinese Crested is well-suited for apartment life. Overall, their exercise needs are low.
How much grooming does a Chinese Crested need?
There are two distinct varieties of Chinese Crested—the ‘Hairless’ Chinese Crested and the more common ‘Powder Puff’ Chinese Crested. The Hairless Chinese Crested has soft, human-like skin and tufts of fur on their head and ears, tail tip, feet, and other sporadic places on their bodies. The Powerpuff variety has a thick double coat with a very soft, silky topcoat. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance. Chinese Cresteds are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
