We have a spot open for our litter born on December 9th for a female. This was a thoughtfully planned breeding with excellent European bloodlines on both sides. The dam is our own home bred girl. She comes from a line of champions with health testing behind her pedigree. She stands approximately 34-35 inches at the shoulder and weighs around 145 lbs. She is a pretty laid back girl! She loves being around her humans. She also loves to run! She has a very well rounded temperament. The sire is an import from Slovakia. Both of his parents are international champions with titles in multiple countries. He has OFA-certified hips and elbows rated excellent. He stands approximately 38–39 inches at the shoulder and weighs around 160 lbs season. He has an easygoing, happy personality and is very affectionate. He is a true “momma’s boy” and loves being close and involved with his people. The puppies are raised in our home and would make a wonderful companion for the right home. Our puppies are liver shunt tested before going home. Please reach out for additional details, photos, or to discuss placement.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Irish Wolfhound Puppies
How would you describe a Irish Wolfhound?
Irish Wolfhounds are giant, sweet dogs who are very affectionate toward their owners. They thrive on human companionship and use their big size to eat human food off the counter. Unfortunately, their lifespan is very short. Full-grown, they typically weigh 105-120 pounds and stand 30-32 inches tall.
Will a Irish Wolfhound get along with my other pets?
Irish Wolfhounds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. If they are raised around cats and other small dogs, Irish Wolfhounds can get along with them, but they shouldn’t play together outside. Irish Wolfhounds get along well with children, but they are so big that they aren’t always the best fit for toddlers. They're relatively quiet and don't bark much.
What activities do Irish Wolfhounds enjoy most?
Irish Wolfhounds enjoy the chase and are excellent competitors in the doggie sport of lure coursing. They like long walks where they can explore their surroundings, but they especially appreciate an opportunity to run around in a safe, enclosed area. Irish Wolfhounds can be happy with varying amounts of exercise, but it’s important to make sure you give them enough to keep their weight in check. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
How often should I brush a Irish Wolfhound?
Irish Wolfhounds have a shaggy, rough coat that should be brushed twice a week to remove tangles and any dead hair. They shed moderately throughout the year and are pretty easy to groom for being so huge. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
How much space does a Irish Wolfhound need?
Irish Wolfhounds are best suited for a house with a good-sized yard. Irish Wolfhounds prefer a home with a safely fenced-in yard where they can run and play, but they need to live inside with their humans. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.
Puppy Buyer's FAQ

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.

Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods

Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
