Garrett is a lovely boy with a lovely temperament. He is outgoing and friendly, and very affectionate. Garrett is house trained, crate trained and rides well in the car. He is health tested for heart, eyes, hearing, MDR1 and CEA. Garret is available to a show or companion home. Garrett is NOT available for breeding, and will go on a strict non-breeding contract. Garrett is ISWS, UKC, and AKC registered, and is eligible to be showing in all three (FSS in AKC). Garrett is a finished UKC champion. He has lovely forward movement, and presents a striking picture when stacked. Garrett will also make a wonderful, affectionate companion. He would enjoy long walks, exploring new things, and cuddling on the couch with his people. Garrett gets along well with dogs of all sizes and either sex. Garrett has not been exposed to cats, but I believe he would do well with them. If you are interested in Garrett, please contact me for more information and an application.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Silken Windhound Puppies

Are Silken Windhounds a good breed to own?
As smaller versions of the Borzoi, Silken Windhounds are sweet sighthounds with smaller statures. They adore people and make the perfect family companions. If you’re looking for a friendly, fast dog to join your pack, the Silken Windhound may fit the bill. Full-grown, they typically weigh 20-55 pounds and stand 18-24 inches tall.
Can Silken Windhounds live with cats and other dogs?
Silken Windhounds are generally good with kids, especially when raised together. These dogs tend to be good with kids and other dogs, but they need training and socialization to learn right from wrong. Their prey drive can be dangerous around cats and small animals, so make sure other pets are larger and don’t become their target. They're relatively quiet and don't bark much.
How much exercise does a Silken Windhound need?
Silken Windhounds have plenty of energy to spare, but like Greyhounds, they prefer short bursts of activity instead of endurance exercises. These pups like to sprint and have a strong prey drive, so chasing is one of their favorite games. Windhounds also like walks and playing at dog parks, where they can chase other dogs and be part of a pack. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
Do Silken Windhounds shed a lot?
Silken Windhounds get part of their name from their gorgeous, silky coats. Their fur comes in a variety of colors, including cream, red, fawn, black, silver, and white. Windhounds may have long coats, but they’re easy to maintain. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
What should first-time owners know about Silken Windhounds?
Silken Windhounds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Silken Windhounds can be happy in a house or apartment setting. Although they love running outside, this breed prefers to live indoors, where they can have a comfy spot to sleep and be around the people they love. They are fairly easy to train.

Puppy Buyer's FAQ
See Full Guide Here

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
