Meet Gertrude (Gertie, GOO!), a sweet and obedient white and reddish brown piebald 2-year-old female English Bulldog looking for her forever home. Gertie is a loving companion who enjoys being the center of attention and would thrive as the only pet in the household.
Key Details:
•Temperament: Gertie is very well-behaved, with no accidents in the house. She prefers to lie on the couch but will gladly go to her bed if instructed. Absolutely no chewing except on Bark Box toys! Gertie loves to sleep in the bed snuggled with the kids if permitted. Gertie does not bark randomly only as dogs do intermittently.
•Personality: She is a happy girl, shown by her beaming pictures! Gertie is both athletic and energetic, but also enjoys being a couch potato, especially in the winter months. She loves to "buck like a bull," a fun and unique quirk, but also loves to sleep all tucked in with her front paws under her cheeks, a perfect mix of both worlds. Gertie listens~ we call her giving the side eye if she knows you're talking about her. She is attentive and wants to please you, especially if you’ve got treats! She travels well in the passenger seat but would prefer to be in your lap. At times, she will remind you she is there by migrating to the center console while you're driving. She is probably excited as she knows she is headed for a Scooter’s Pup Cup! She does great on or off a leash and can jump into a F350 with ease. We have her on a 75 percent raw diet and 25 percent kibble. She eats well and has a beautiful coat and physique to show for it!
Why We’re Rehoming: It saddens us deeply to find Gertie a new home, but she isn't getting along well with our aging Blue Heeler, who is beginning to lose his sight and startles more easily now. Despite our best efforts to keep them separated, we are concerned about the possibility of an altercation.
I pride myself on our dogs and know she deserves ALL the love a family can give to her. She will THRIVE in a single dog home. She does excellent with children, not sure she is a cat lady but perhaps could venture into it over time? Overall, Gertie is a glamorous gemstone and I am heartbroken to have to list her, but I know we must do what is in her best interest.
She is capable of having puppies and has had one litter without trouble, 2 years ago. She did great with mothering her babies and has not been spayed. If you are interested in breeding her, I will be very inquisitive, as this is a serious matter and not for someone inexperienced. English Bulldogs are primarily a man-man breed these days, and it takes meticulous timing and monitoring to ensure the safety of the mother and puppies.
Ideal Home:
•Only pet in the household
•Loving environment where she can be the center of attention
•Owners who appreciate both her energetic bursts and her love for a good nap on the couch.
•Space to roam indoors and out! Does great on and off a leash, but has been raised in the country.
We want the best for Gertie and believe she will bring a lot of joy to the right family. If you can provide a loving and attentive home for Gertie, please reach out.

About
English Bulldog
Puppies
What's the personality of a English Bulldog?
The English Bulldog is a famously calm and friendly family pet. Their wrinkly folds make them appear vicious, but they're actually more likely to take a nap than they are to ward off an attacker. They are calm, dignified, and adapt well to small living spaces, as they quite like the indoors, thank you very much. Full-grown, they typically weigh 40-50 pounds and stand 14-15 inches tall.
Are English Bulldogs friendly with strangers and kids?
English Bulldogs are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The English Bulldog can make their home in any environment, from apartments to big houses, as long as they can live inside. The Bulldog will seek out human attention, getting as much as they possibly can. They're relatively quiet and don't bark much.
How active are English Bulldogs on a daily basis?
The English Bulldog might have a strong guarding instinct, but this isn't an energetic dog. They prefer the indoors and are generally pretty inactive. They are good for apartment life and will do okay without a yard. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
What should I expect with English Bulldog shedding?
The English Bulldog has a short, flat, and sleek coat, and they generally have thick folds of skin on their brow and around their eyes leading to long jowls. They come in a range of colors from red, fawn, white, brindle, and 'piebald,' a common spotting pattern. They need to be bathed occasionally, but their faces need a damp cloth wipe down everyday to care for inside those wrinkles. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
What living situation works for a English Bulldog?
English Bulldogs are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. The English Bulldog can make their home in any environment, from apartments to big houses, as long as they can live inside. A Bulldog can occasionally be a bit dominating, needing a good leader who can display strong leadership, so they don't take over the household. They are fairly easy to train.
Puppy Buyer's FAQ
See Full Guide Here
Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
