Giselle is the sweetest, most affectionate, and bounciest pup with a little quirk that she is quickly growing out of but may always retain some hint of.
When she started walking she quickly developed a very noticeable head tilt. It’s something I saw once before in a pup and I suspected it may be the same thing. I took her to the vet to be checked and rule out an ear infection. Then we waited to see if it improved over time as it did in the case of the other pup who I called Maximus. He is two years old now and doing great according to his adoptive mom! I checked in on him when Giselle came along. She said the only sign there was ever anything off is an occasional adorable tilt of his head.
It seems, like Maximus, Giselle has a defect of her inner ear leading to her sense of balance being slightly off. This resulted in a head tilt and four left feet. Her balance has improved massively as her brain has learned to compensate and adjust to her unusual sense of balance and her head tilt is fading away. It will be missed but I’m just so happy the little girl is going to be just fine. I held her back while waiting to see improvement. She is now available for adoption.
