Higgins is an adult, intact male AHT. He is NOT registered. He's been recently vaccinated by me. It's been about 2 months ago. There are no vet records. He's truly a Terrier. You must know how to deal with the breed. He's a good dog and is a true lap dog, but he's also cocky and tries to be dominant around other dogs. He's always been indoors and is housebroke. He wont poop in the house or pee because he truly has to, but he hikes his leg to make at times. He usually wears a belly band and sleeps in a crate at night. He's a very light color. He WILL burn in the sun. He should always have sunblock on or even wear a lightweight t shirt along with sunblock. My grandson discribes him as the pink dog. He has been around small kids, but will once in a while get excited and nip at kids. I would NOT recommend him around small kids. He does NOT attack, but does nip enough to hurt. He's absolutely stunning!!!!!! Will catch attention. You are welcome to come pick him up or I will drive him to you for a fee of $1 per mile, up to about $1,200. Anything past that, shipping by airplane would be recommended. That fee would be $400. That would cover, a mandatory health certificare from a veterinarian, a new pet taxi and the price of the flight. I'm open to video chats, where you can see Higgins in real time. I will accept a $200 (NON refundable deposit) to hold him for a week or so until plans can be made. I accept payments through Cashapp app.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you.

About
American Hairless Terrier
Puppies
What's it like owning a American Hairless Terrier?
The American Hairless Terrier’s character is just as funny as its looks. What they lack in fur, they make up for in personality and energy. These lively pups enjoy spending time with their families, watching over them, and playing the day away. Full-grown, they typically weigh 12-16 pounds and stand 12-16 inches tall.
Are American Hairless Terriers a good choice for families with kids?
American Hairless Terriers are generally excellent with children of all ages. The American Hairless Terrier’s affectionate and cuddly personality makes it a wonderful family friend. They do well with small children, especially when they’re raised together. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
What activities do American Hairless Terriers enjoy most?
American Hairless Terriers have endless energy and will take as much activity as they can get. Similar to other terrier breeds, they love agility games and playing outside. They need at least 20-30 minutes of exercise each day, whether it’s a long walk or playtime in the yard. Overall, their exercise needs are low.
How much brushing and bathing does a American Hairless Terrier need?
As its name indicates, the American Hairless Terrier is one of the rare breeds without a coat. They have light, fuzzy fur when they’re born, but they start shedding shortly after and are hairless within a few weeks. The dog’s skin may be pink, gray, red, black, or golden and needs to be protected from the elements since it doesn’t have any other covering. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance. American Hairless Terriers are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Can a American Hairless Terrier live in an apartment?
American Hairless Terriers are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. However, these dogs are a bit territorial, so they may growl or bark if you infringe on their space. Hairless Terriers are petite and apartment friendly, but they have high energy and need plenty of exercise and playtime. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
