About Howie

All listing information is self-reported. Verify information before conducting business. Learn how to verify information before buying

Howie is a medium sized Bernedoodle – Both parents are F1BB Bernedoodles. Both parents have been genetically tested and show clear of all known concerns related to bernedoodles. He will likely be between 45-55lbs when full grown. Puppies from a different litter with the same parents are approximately that weight – they are pretty tall and skinny vs. short & stout. A picture of the parents is included in the listing as well. He is a beautifully merle - his coloring is incredible and will just get better as he gets older. He has 4 white paws, a white tipped tail and brown butt. All puppies are raised in the home with my family, 4 adult dogs, a cat and continued exposure to children, other adults, people, places and experiences. They are being taken for car rides regularly, are being trained with different noise interactions, grooming, nail trimming stair and other items of that nature. ENS training is taking place starting at 4 days. Howie is being crate trained and is in the process of being potty trained and learning basic commands. When purchased he will have received: regular dewormings (2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks), declaws have been removed, vet check and clearance, first set of puppy shots. His second set of shots is scheduled for July 15th. He will also be microchipped. Please message me for more details. I would love to hear from you!

Frequently Asked Questions
About Bernedoodle Puppies

What's it like owning a Bernedoodle?
The Bernedoodle hybrid was developed by breeding Bernese Mountain Dogs and Poodles. The Bernese Mountain Dog originated in Switzerland while the Poodle originated in Germany and France. Full-grown, they typically weigh 10-90 pounds and stand 10-29 inches tall.
Do Bernedoodles do well in a busy household?
Bernedoodles are generally excellent with children of all ages. When they are still young, Bernedoodles can be a little bit headstrong. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Can Bernedoodles keep up with an active lifestyle?
Bernedoodles are a moderately active cross-breed. Daily walking, play, and interaction is recommended. Their natural gait is a slow trot, so walking a Bernedoodle should be easy for most people. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
What's the coat like on a Bernedoodle?
Bernedoodles are known for the hypoallergenic properties of their coats. Bernedoodle coats are typically wavy and curly, which results in minimal shedding. Curly coats require frequent brushing to prevent tangles, as well as periodic trimming. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate. Bernedoodles are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Can a Bernedoodle live in an apartment?
Bernedoodles are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are fairly easy to train.

Puppy Buyer's FAQ
See Full Guide Here

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
