Jax was born on May 15th, 2026.  He is a blue male with very little white on him.  He has a white shape of an arrow that points down.  There is no white on his paws.  He is doing well and growing like he should.  His momma is doing a great job feeding him and protecting him.  We, of course, are right there making sure he is getting everything he needs.  Dew claws were removed; so you won't have to worry about these claws scratching you or getting caught on something and causing him injury. Visit our website for more information and details. heartlandiggys.com We take the time to socialize him with other dogs, children, and adults.  We want to ensure an easy transition to be a member of your family.  Please look at our page "As they grow" to see the process.  At this point his personality isn't showing.  It will be a few more weeks before we know this.  We are happy to do a Zoom call with you; so you can view him and answer any questions you may have. He will be ready to go home on Saturday, July 11th.  We would love you to come pick him up.  We can meet you at the airport if you want to do a round trip flight in a day.  If coming to get him isn't an option, you will need to figure out ground shipping or a flight nanny of your own.  We can give you a suggestion; but it will be up to you to select and pay for this service on your own. Jax would be a great addition to your family.  Please contact us today.  We can answer your questions and send you a copy of the contract.  Once we receive the signed contract and the $500 deposit, he will be secured as yours.  Final payment will be due at time of pick up or before he leaves our arms. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Frequently Asked Questions
About Italian Greyhound Puppies

What should I know about Italian Greyhounds before buying one?
The Italian Greyhound is extremely slender and barely over a foot tall, but they have all the grace and sweetness of his taller Greyhound relatives. They love to be with their owner and are very active. Running and playtime are essential for this breed along with daily walks. Full-grown, they typically weigh 7-14 pounds and stand 13-15 inches tall.
How do Italian Greyhounds behave around young children?
Italian Greyhounds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. They love attention and affection and are peaceful, gentle friends to adults and children. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Can Italian Greyhounds keep up with an active lifestyle?
This breed needs frequent opportunities to run freely in a large enclosed area. They're highly intelligent and will likely wish to have their own way  and occasionally will be naughty, so consistency is necessary. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
What's the coat like on a Italian Greyhound?
The Italian Greyhound coat is made up of of fine, short hair, most often colored in slate, black, or greyish yellow, occasionally with white on the chest and feet. Very little grooming is required; you can wipe down your pup with a cloth to make their coat shine and bathe them monthly. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance. Italian Greyhounds are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Are Italian Greyhounds easy to train?
Italian Greyhounds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Because of their small size, they can make great apartment companions, as long as you can get them outside for plenty of activity each day. They are fairly easy to train.
