Jubilee isn't a puppy who immediately decides that every stranger deserves her trust. She wants space to observe you, figure out who you are, and build a relationship before showing you everything underneath.
Because temperament testing gives each puppy a relatively short time with an unfamiliar tester, we believe this evaluation shows us Jubilee's first response to a stranger, but not necessarily the full depth of who she becomes once she knows and trusts someone.
Underneath that initial caution is a sweet, loving, gentle, playful girl capable of forming a very deep relationship with her person.

Jubilee communicated clearly that she needed space. She would bark at the tester, retreat toward where she felt safe, then come back and investigate again. It was almost a little dance of, "I'm not sure about you yet...but I'm curious."

Although cautious with unfamiliar people, Jubilee isn't simply shutting down. She continues investigating and engaging. She just wants to do it on her terms and at her pace.

Jubilee was much more interested in figuring out the HUMAN in the room than interacting with the "dog" in our mirror test.
Because she showed very little interest in the mirror, she could be a particularly nice candidate for a family without other pets who wants to build a strong one-on-one relationship with their dog.

We didn't get enough interaction with the mirror to confidently evaluate this category. Based on what we've observed outside of testing, she doesn't appear to have difficulty with other dogs, so neutral is our best assessment.

Jubilee did NOT appreciate the tester's big emotional display.
Her response felt very much like:
"Can you please stop? I don't like this."
She was noticeably disturbed by the commotion. She'll likely do best with people who are emotionally steady and can provide calm leadership rather than a home filled with frequent intense emotional swings.

Jubilee is a sweet, playful, loving puppy wrapped inside a cautious first impression.
She communicates when she's uncomfortable, although she is not normally known as a big barker. During testing, her voice was simply another tool she used to communicate her need for space.
She isn't necessarily the puppy who will walk into a room full of strangers and immediately hand everyone her heart.
Her relationship has to be earned.
But for the person willing to slow down, respect that process, build trust, and discover the playful girl underneath, we believe Jubilee could develop an incredibly special bond.
