Meet Maverick! 🤍 Maverick is our calm observer. With his fluffy white coat and striking black and tan markings on his face and ears, he’s as handsome as he is gentle. He’s quiet, thoughtful, and in tune with everyone around him. He notices everything and seems to know just when someone needs a little extra love. Maverick has a calm, sweet temperament, and what he wants most is to be held. He’ll happily melt into your arms for snuggles, which makes him a wonderful companion for a family looking for a gentle, devoted pup. He’s a petite mini at the top of the size range, expected to be around 20 to 22 lbs full grown (mom is 25 lbs and dad is 17 lbs). He’s still small enough to cuddle on the couch or travel with you, with just a little more to love. He’s raised in our home in the mountains of Southwest Virginia as part of the family, with lots of handling, playtime, and love from our kids, so he’s well socialized and ready to settle into his new home. Delivery & Pickup We want getting your puppy home to be easy! You’re welcome to pick up in person, or we’re happy to travel to meet you partway or meet you at your nearest airport. See Full Guide Here

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
