* Check back later his week. Bentley is going to groomers for a spa day. I am going to take new photos. Meet Bentley ❤️ Bentley is a beautiful champagne-white, neutered male Shihpoo looking for a loving forever home. This is not an easy decision, so finding the right family for him is my biggest priority. He is house-trained, up to date on all vaccinations (including rabies), and has been very well cared for. He is actually spoiled rotten and likes his spot on the couch and your bed. Bentley has a sweet, gentle personality and truly loves being around people. He's the kind of dog that wants to be wherever you are. And, if you cannot find your socks or slippers most likely Bentley has them in his bed. lol. He does not chew them, just steals them. His weight is around 10 pounds. His mom weighs 8-9 pounds and his dad is around 8 pounds. He loves being outside, whether it's going for walks, hiking, or just exploring. He also has his own little pool, but if everyone is in the big pool, that's where he'd rather be too. 😂 His coat is long in the pictures, but he's getting his summer haircut this week because it's just too hot. Shihpoos have a hypoallergenic, low-shedding coat, but they do require regular care. He'll need to be brushed several times a week and professionally groomed every 6–8 weeks to keep him comfortable and prevent matting. Please only consider Bentley if you're willing to keep up with his grooming needs. Bentley has a very calm, loving nature and would make an amazing companion. He loves attention, enjoys spending time with his family, and is just as happy relaxing at home as he is going on an adventure. I truly think he'd make a wonderful emotional support companion for someone because he has such a comforting, affectionate personality. He did go to puppy manner classes and did very well. But, as a new owner you will be best to take him to classes for bonding and just plain fun. Both of Bentley's parents have completed genetic health testing. He will come with his veterinary records, vaccination history, rabies certificate, and copies of his parents' genetic health testing. If you think Bentley might be the right fit for your family, I'd love to talk with you. Please call if you're seriously interested. I prefer talking on the phone instead of texting so we can get to know each other and make sure Bentley is the right match. If I don't answer, please leave a voicemail and I'll return your call as soon as I can. Please do not message or text about adopting. I do not place my furbabies through PMs or text messages. Puppy Pickup Policy: For the well-being of my puppies, I do not offer shipping. I believe every puppy deserves the opportunity to meet their new family in person, and I also enjoy meeting the families who welcome one of my puppies into their home. Puppy pickup is required, allowing us to get to know one another, answer any questions you may have, and ensure it's the perfect match for both you and your new companion. I will be happy to arrange a convenient time for you to come meet your puppy and bring them home.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Shihpoo Puppies

What's the personality of a Shihpoo?
With mixed genes from a Shih Tzu and Poodle, it’s no wonder the Shihpoo is such a loving, sweet dog. These little guys adore people and will do just about anything to be with them. They don’t need much exercise or grooming, but they’ll take as much attention as they can get. Full-grown, they typically weigh 8-18 pounds and stand 8-18 inches tall.
Are Shihpoos good family dogs?
Shihpoos are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. These dogs get along well with children but prefer older kids who are more gentle. They also make good friends for other family dogs and cats. They're relatively quiet and don't bark much.
What's the best way to exercise a Shihpoo?
Shihpoos don’t need much exercise to stay happy and healthy. They usually get enough activity just by playing with their family. If you want to take your Shihpoo out, they enjoy going for walks or playing around in the grass. Overall, their exercise needs are low.
What's the coat like on a Shihpoo?
The Shihpoo’s coat will range from curly to wavy to straight, depending on whether their Shih Tzu or Poodle genes are stronger. Normally, it’s curlier than the Shih Tzu but not as curly as the Poodle's. Their fur doesn’t shed much, so normal brushing or professional grooming will keep these dogs looking their best. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
What should first-time owners know about Shihpoos?
Shihpoos are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. At 7-20 pounds, the Shihpoo is a great fit for apartments or houses. If they have a yard to play in, make sure your Shihpoo primarily lives indoors so they can be around people. They are can be stubborn and challenging to train.
